Lol when you say “around here“ think about Real NJ they run circles around a bloated club like SJEB. And pretty soon PDA South will gobble up tons of SJEB players so only downhill from here.

Both FCV & TopHat are at the top of the food chain when it comes to talent and training. Watching there teams play at these showcases you can just see the difference when compared to their competition. If ECNL is about the best then both of these clubs are essential. When you say pompous that is a general term. Both clubs coaching staff and administrators know exactly what they re doing and understand the soccer landscape better than most. For any player on there top team at any age group puts them in the sights of e Rey college coach. You cannot say that about the vast majority of clubs. To take PDA South or a Pipeline into ECNL over those 2 clubs makes no sense if your talking about maintaining a competitive edge. Both those clubs are like a dull knife. Now PDA has a third team added to the league below there White & Blue.

You’re correct as a parent everyone knows there is a hierarchy at PDA, South is 3rd and Shore a very distant 4th.

Go onto the FCV website and go look at their 2020 commitments and then work back. That list is up there with PDA. There staff of trainers are highly respected with the proper licenses and resume. Parents/players will continue to come to this club regardless because of there staff.

FCV has a great 2020 class, stronger than next classes. A number of the 2020s were picked up and off from other local clubs. FCV has not made any friends with other clubs with their player recruiting tactics over the last 5-6 years. Along with pompous leadership the other poster mentioned is likely reason not welcomed back to ECNL.

How many friends does PDA have and with them now having a third team there will be plenty of other clubs who will be very worried about losing there top players to this 3rd team. I will take pompous leadership from FCV any day with coaches and trainers who know exactly what they're doing. Because of these pompous leadership and trainers colleges clearly like these FCV players.

Having watched a few FCV teams play last year they are definitely heads above those teams in GAL. GAL losing them means the Mid-Atlantic division is weak as h3ll. Talking with their parents they practice hard core 4-5x a week and have multiple players in the US pool as well as international national teams.

Why care so much about relative strength or weakness of GAL? No one knows how strong it will be until after pandemic. Lots of change going on I’m sure.

Very overrated club, they focus on piling up gotsoccer points whereas ECNL focuses purely on development. If you’re a good player I would focus more on development and less on piling up gotsoccer points so the club can sell how fantastic they are.
