Like I’m gonna pay 4 thou to have my daughters team blown out by pda north every year. I’ll pass. I’d rather she play in a fair competitive league.

Your teams can’t even beat STA. Slow down.

Really? They didn't do very well against ECNL teams across all age groups when they played them in the Fall. We met up with some friends from NY to catch up and to check out the teams. My buddy said it was his kid's team first game of the season and that they were really struggling because they were just coming off their HS season and had a bunch of kids out with injuries. They still handled CSA pretty easily and CSA were about 10 games into their season. Not for nothin, but I don't think many of the CSA teams are very good.

To each their own CSA plays real football while PDA kick and run machine wins. At least learn to appreciate decent footballers when you spot them chap.

It's amazing to me that people posting about how bad the GAL is doesn't have a clue to what the future holds. The GAL is brand new, still in the planning stages, but all these people can tell that it will be a failure based on nothing. We still don't know if there will even be a season yet, but people already know how the GAL will turn out. If all you guys know the future so well, can someone give me the lottery numbers for next week? Truth is, nobody can say for sure how things will turn out. When the DA folded people bitched, new league forming, people bitch. You can't please everyone. This forum really amazes me because everyone is an expert. Everyone knows how things will be. Everyone is an expert on the ECNL. Everyone is an expert on GAL. Everyone is an expert on USYS. PDA is the best in the world. CSA is the best in the world. PSA is the best in the world. It's really hard to get an honest opinion on anything because everyone is an expert on everything. Let's give the new league a chance before we discuss how horrible they are.

Sorry. There has been so so much BS shoveled at youth soccer families over the years that no new venture deserves anything other then extreme scrutiny. why do you believe this one will any different then all the other failed ventures is the better question?

              Fool us once, shame on you...fool 2, 3, 4, 5 6, 7.8.9.plus times, shame on us.

Just so I understand correctly, based on your response, if your kid continues to do bad in school, and you ask her if shes studying and trying her best, she says yes everytime, and she continues to do bad, year after year, it will get to the point you don't believe her and just convince yourself shes going to continue doing bad and you just lose faith in her without an ounce of hope that she will actually step up and become a better student? What an awesome parent you are. But, it seems you are one of the parents that know everything so why even debate this with you.

What you fail to understand is this league was formed out of necessity. USSF screwed all of these clubs (and kids) over. Many of these clubs arent getting into ECNL because of how that league is run (PDA with 3 out of 4 teams in NJ. Cmon) Sure many of us have concerns but for most this is all we have and we want to see it work

No, you are not understanding correctly. What does any of this have to do with youth soccer and the history of BS that comes with it?

I wanted to see my local league work, I wanted to see NPL work, I wanted to see ODP or PDP or NCE work. Most of all I wanted to see ussf work. How many times do we need the same lesson? All of the products aimed at the high end "Players" all suffer the same reality - there are not enough high end players that are also high end payers.

The market can support a very limited number of these luxury offerings. Too many forces them to fail or limp along like wounded animals.

I'm basically saying things change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Sometimes stay the same. Just like you would give you kid the benefit of a doubt they will succeed, even though their track record doesn't steer toward that, you can't based the future on the past. It's just not reality. We got a new puppy. Keeps ****ting on the floor. Everyday we get up, let him out, but he keeps ****ting on the floor. Everyone says it will get better, but he keeps doing it. So, because past history with the dog indicates that he will keep ****ting on the floor, we should just get rid of it, maybe get a new dog that's house broken because we are afraid of actually giving something a chance based on past experience. Sound familiar??

Not to say that ecnl is so amazing or different from all the others, but they are the original gangster of monetized to the max, deluxe girls soccer and the last man standing so far.

Let's be honest, the writing is on the wall. For 3 years, all we heard about GDA was "give it a chance", "it's a brand new league", "in 5 years GDA will be the crystal clear top platform for girls", blah, blah, blah, blah.

Now the leftover clubs that can't get into ECNL form a new league and spin it as the next big thing and people are all supposed to drink the kool-aid and nod our heads? Come on, now.

I have to agree these businesses (I mean academies) continue to tell you what’s convenient for them to make $$$, HS soccer bad then HS soccer good, Sub rules good for development and coaching, sub rules need to be changed, DA best for college exposure, any league now good for college exposure, college coaches care about the league you play in, now college coaches only care that you have a quality team, National travel a must for showcase exposure, to now you don’t need to do that as it’s unnecessary and should be avoided. You see the pattern? That’s what people are fed up with....Continued shift in messaging and spin to suit own agenda.

My kid loved the PDP & NCE programs! To this day I credit them with raising her game...
