GDA: Playing out back, being patient, passing and moving.
ECNL: Punting the ball, trying to win the 50-50, always pressing.
A successful adult team will know how to play both styles, but perhaps not at that age group. Only one of those styles requires real soccer skill IQ and training, the other depends on the physical strength and ability to have a deep bench of bodies.

If you were looking for ECNL you best bets are Delco, Bucks and PDA South depending on your location and talent level of your kid. PF would be the top option if you were willing to have your kid play on the 2nd team as PF doesn't usually have outside players replace their own unless they are a superstar. Training wise though PF is most likely the better option. PDA South is going to be a free for all with girls who were traveling to Delco and Bucks looking to move closer and a good number from local SJ clubs looking to move up.

I guess I could see a club or two getting ecnr, but PDA is going to use at least this cycle (and probably more) to poach all of the top talent and leave what's left for gda clubs like CSA. It just depends on where you live, but my guess is it's going to be a free for all at those the clubs, so if you have any connections (such as your kid trained with the coach of a team you're interested in), then you might want to make those calls.
