Originally posted by Unregistered View PostA few kids who were already known to the programs may have been taken. Some kids may have been able to get into the age group but they'll be finding out later on whether they are ECNL or ECRL, after evaluations. No one is moving to a top team sight unseen.

It's a legit issue. I had to pass on an offer for my daughter to play for a Mass ECNL club because I couldn't make the travel work. Perfectly happy in the "other league", and would be in ECNL as well if there was a realistic chance of it.

What they do, they do it very successfully. But there is no incentive for them to expand so they won't.

Being in the middle between CFC and World Class it makes sense. NJ doesnt need any more clubs, NY is underserved, LI aside. WC may balk but losing a few Westchester/Putnam players wouldnt kill them.
