Definitely worthy.
You think PDA doesn’t have enough pull? Not only do they come back to the league but convince them that they need 2 teams at every age group and got it! No problem.
PDA has the reputation and pull to make territorial demands in there geographic area. Chances of a third club coming in is slim to none. ECNL is not desperate for adding additional clubs unless they are clubs that prove worthy from a business perspective of success as well as on the pitch. ECNL is not competing against any other league. They are the league and just blew US Soccer/GDA up and out of business.

Agree that pda south is average EDP team at most ages. SJEB Girls should be added to ECNL and the RL league should just be dropped at this point.

PDA South some very good teams but agree not all. That’s actually not a bad idea to end RL though, would maybe allow smaller clubs into ECNL which might not be a bad thing.

Nice thought but will never happen. Only the Walmart-sized clubs get into ECNL.

Parents should get out of that mindset that ECNL is the only alternative. The reality is that with PDA & MATCHFIT there is no way they will add an additional club in NJ. SJEB is not in that caliber of clubs that ECNL wants. If so, they would have been asked. There are a bunch of clubs including STA that are talking about forming a league that will be very competitive. Yes, there might because of this reconfiguration the top 1-3 players from each age group will be accepted by an ECNL team but over all this new league could be good. It’s now. Game of musical chairs and you do not want to be that club when the music stops has no chair. You SJEB parents need to splash cold water on your face and wake up.

Just what we need. Another league claiming to be full of top tier clubs that are spaced out over several states with drives longer than games. PDA won't let SJEB into ECNL simple because they poach from them. Sure it's a hike but every year they go after the top 1 or 2 players with the draw of being PDA. SJEB is as good or better across the boards then MF, Bucks, Delco and the rest of the NE South teams except PDA. Of course if they allowed PF and SJEB in then PDA would have to move back to north div which has a lot more competition.

Parents are part of the problem. SJEB parents think they are on the same level as PDA & Penn Fusion. It’s just not true. Yes, ECNL clubs like MATCHFIT, FC Bucks & Delco are weaker but until there is relegation for clubs for not meeting performance requirements then there is no chance that they will add a club like SJEB who would have to prove themselves. I said for a few years with these weaker clubs there should be a relegation if they cannot meet certain win/loss criteria in all age groups. This would make the level of league competition that much stronger.

Agreed - right now their is no consequence for those clubs that are perennial basement dwellers. ECNL should really institute some kind of relegation or probation for those clubs that continually are at the bottom, so they have an incentive to get better. Otherwise they just rely on the patch to keep them afloat but really do not provide what ECNL promises.

PDA South has 2 teams at each age group. The 1st teams play in ECRL, and with the exception of the U12 team, they are all in 1st or 2nd place (or undefeated but lower because of GD tie-breaker). Not sure where their 2nd teams play (I am guessing EDP leagues).

Penn Fusion used to be ECNL before they left for GDA. I would guess they would be welcomed back to ECNL before others would be considered.

PF might be welcomed but they did burn some bridges when they chose GDA and left ECNL . Also EPA already has two weak clubs (delco, Bucks), that are not geographically far from PF. Not sure ECNL would want to further weaken the other two clubs by adding PF.

Correct, first or second in ECRL not ECNL.

What I find a little comical is that GDA parents and coaches were the first to come on TS to say how awful ECNL was, and now they are all positioning their club to be accepted into the league. For the past few days it has been CSA is better than this club, and STA is better than that club,.. Geez, accept it, you played your cards with GDA and lost. Now figure out what you do next.

If you are a parent and your daughter needs to play at a higher level, reach out to an ECNL close to you. If your daughter is a strong player, she will find a place to play. If your daughter is middle of the pack or lower, stick with your club, and play in EDP. Everyone will still have a place to play
