It’s funny you say their players can’t make it on any other team when one of their players also plays ECNL and had the most goals scored on Deptford, her ECNL team as well as her travel team. I’m all for open discussions about teams and I won’t even argue about the fact their coach had them hiding in lower brackets for years going 39-0 is never realistic for any team but you’re not going to bash little girls especially when they have some talented kids on their team.

She is a great player, but at the same time, isn't helping herself playing on Deptford and Gateway. The competition is crap.

Fatty and turd lol really? If you read what you said as quoted, you said their players can’t make it on any other team and clearly that’s untrue. Was just stating facts not arguing back and forth on a thread about 11 year old girls.

The one girl can play. I just wanna know who are these superstars out there you are comparing most of these kids to? Come on. Such a hater. I think she wears #7, she can play! Maybe the coach hides in lower brackets. I’m not privy to that but I’ve seen them and the kid is a good player. Get a life and stop bashing 11yr old girls. I don’t even know her name but ****!

MFA, PDA are the clear next grouping.
Following those two groups it’s a bit of a mix up with MF Shore, CSA2, Real, STA, MF Mercer, Deptford all having good and very average performances.
Kingsway remains untested, NJ Crush is a decent team, Torpedoes have a few strong players, PDA South appeared out of nowhere.
I think FA is completely out of the conversation unless bringing guests. Same goes for NJ Surf Marlton and NJ Premier. NJ Nationals will be a consistent USYS team in the future.
At this age, you need to start separating these teams into 2 groups. Ecnl/GA teams in 1 group & USYS/EDP in another. Be interested on how the rankings look if you split it up.

No point completing the exercise before 11v11 and before consistent 11v11 results against ranked opponents for most of these teams. Can’t make much sense of the EDP/GA results that were 11v11 because half the teams are “new” or older and it doesn’t translate well without like and ranked opponents.
Jeff cup and PDA spring kickoff will give everyone an idea of how people are doing very early in spring and FC Delco players cup will be the end of the season evaluator. Hoping there is some crossover play between leagues

There is no point completing this exercise because every single one of these teams is going to be pulled apart and put back together with the school year age change.

My daughter is on a team mentioned and there will be probably be very little movement. Internally a couple kids move down from “2012” to her current team and a couple from “2013” move to “2014”.

Then there are tryouts, which regardless of age change, usually causes more upheaval than what is likely a pretty even swap in most cases . I do think kids will come out of the woodwork from older ECRL and USYS teams, but I think the impact this will have is also low. Most ECNL/GA teams beat older ECRL/USYS teams regularly, so an October-December birthday will have to be one of the best players on that older team.

The winners are going to be the clubs that inherit a young ECNL/GA player that happens to be one of the best on their current team. I can think of a couple in 2013 age group.

Weak, younger 2013 girls will move down, strong younger 2013 girls will want to stay put. It’s all up to the parents/coach/girls.

Also, August and Sept NJ girls who are in (8th grade) for NJ cutoff, will probably not want to play with the 7th graders. (8/1/13-7/31/14) when they are in highschool.

they should grandfather older teams. Start new.

Then what happens to these strong young 2012 6th grade players if they stick with a team and have no team to train with in 8th grade? What happens senior year? What happens during recruitment when majority of coaches are watching age bracket below them? Do they just disrupt teams then? This is literally being done for them and clubs to avoid team disruption at the end of youth careers, simplify recruiting for colleges, and avoid the 8th grade trapped player controversy.

I don’t think many ECNL and GA clubs will give much choice unless we are talking about aUSYNT level player because it will wind up causing them headaches. ECRL only clubs and USYS clubs will retain a young 2012 player, however it would still be in the best interest of the player to play on age with peers and take a stab at ECNL or GA.

If your a 6th grade playing with 7th graders and fall in that bracket as of yesterday, why wouldn’t you move down to kids in ur same grade and basically the same age? It’s more advantageous. Only fools would play up, (only happens in soccer) unless you’re on a national level fast track. But most kids are playing for college .
according to the new rule that kid would have been playing up anyway! But ito say it’s going to be up to the parents is way off. It’s going to be the new rule. And clubs will fall in line except for some minor exceptions like always.
