15 is not outlandish even for 9v9. 13-15 is standard for academies and higher level teams.

They probably should be playing more than that at this age. Assuming they'll also play 35 minute halves in the spring, that average goes to about 50 minutes. I have a feeling though that they'll add two or three players for the spring because our club loves big rosters. 17-18 isn't terrible for 11v11, but this is also the age where kids need to really get game minutes/reps in to develop.
Too many parents blame minutes that equate to half or slightly more than half the game for the child’s lack of improvement. Reps are what you do on your own time. Build that at home to earn more time.
Now if your child is playing significantly less than half it is time to look for a new team because the coach does not trust them to be in the game.

Best team in NJ?????????? Seriously. No lame comments like PDA passes the ball great between all their defenders and can't get the ball past the half because everyone knows their dumb game. Everyone just stands there and watches their dopey coach convince their dopey parents that they play the best soccer. Best team in NJ??? Let's go.
