I’m all for open discussions about teams and I won’t even argue about the fact their coach had them hiding in lower brackets for years going 39-0 is never realistic for any team but you’re not going to bash little girls especially when they have some talented kids on their team.

CSA and SJEB have done nothing to have anyone assume they are still not the best two teams. I think both are capable of being beat, but still the two most talented teams.
MFA, PDA are the clear next grouping.
Following those two groups it’s a bit of a mix up with MF Shore, CSA2, Real, STA, MF Mercer, Deptford all having good and very average performances.
Kingsway remains untested, NJ Crush is a decent team, Torpedoes have a few strong players, PDA South appeared out of nowhere.
I think FA is completely out of the conversation unless bringing guests. Same goes for NJ Surf Marlton and NJ Premier. NJ Nationals will be a consistent USYS team in the future.

Jeff cup and PDA spring kickoff will give everyone an idea of how people are doing very early in spring and FC Delco players cup will be the end of the season evaluator. Hoping there is some crossover play between leagues

Then there are tryouts, which regardless of age change, usually causes more upheaval than what is likely a pretty even swap in most cases . I do think kids will come out of the woodwork from older ECRL and USYS teams, but I think the impact this will have is also low. Most ECNL/GA teams beat older ECRL/USYS teams regularly, so an October-December birthday will have to be one of the best players on that older team.
The winners are going to be the clubs that inherit a young ECNL/GA player that happens to be one of the best on their current team. I can think of a couple in 2013 age group.

Weak, younger 2013 girls will move down, strong younger 2013 girls will want to stay put. It’s all up to the parents/coach/girls.
Also, August and Sept NJ girls who are in (8th grade) for NJ cutoff, will probably not want to play with the 7th graders. (8/1/13-7/31/14) when they are in highschool.
they should grandfather older teams. Start new.

I don’t think many ECNL and GA clubs will give much choice unless we are talking about aUSYNT level player because it will wind up causing them headaches. ECRL only clubs and USYS clubs will retain a young 2012 player, however it would still be in the best interest of the player to play on age with peers and take a stab at ECNL or GA.

What happens during recruitment when majority of coaches are watching age bracket below them? Do they just disrupt teams then? This is literally being done for them and clubs to avoid team disruption at the end of youth careers, simplify recruiting for colleges, and avoid the 8th grade trapped player controversy.

according to the new rule that kid would have been playing up anyway! But ito say it’s going to be up to the parents is way off. It’s going to be the new rule. And clubs will fall in line except for some minor exceptions like always.
