We happened to win, but got really lucky with the goals that were scored. They have a good team. Maybe they'd be better suited winning 8 games in prem 2 or maybe not. I dont know. I also heard they got a couple of new players, but that always seems to be a rumor with any team in the spring
Based on how there are low-premier1 & high to mid to
premier 2 teams competing/beating you and/or competing adjacent to your competition……..

Based on their results. Based on watching them play. Based on the team scoring 6 goals in 8 games. The top 5 teams in the division averaged 20 goals scored in 8 games. The team that finished above Crush and beat them is dropping down to Premier 2.

I agree with your statement of we are talking about 10 year olds. Why subject the team to play above their level and lose almost every game for a 3rd season in a row, just so adults can puff their chest and say their kid plays in the top flight.

1-16-4 record in their last 2 EDP seasons. EDP is structured with different flights for a reason. It’s to ensure competitive games. They are getting themselves flighted too high and wasting everyone’s time. They would be better suited drooping down to premier 2 where they might go 4-4 instead of 0-8. To think they would go 8-0 is comical. Their last win vs a NJ 2013 team was 11/27/22 over BOCA 2-1. The last time they had a few wins was when they were in the 3rd flight of futures and they didn’t even go undefeated there. 2nd flight is where they belong. It’s not a bad thing.

I believe you are speaking about NJ Crush. Even though they didn’t win a game, they are close games. I think the most they lost to a team was by 2. If they were getting smoked they would drop down. Maybe they feel like they are in the games and want to stay for the challenge.

            Prem 1 div looks good

Heard GAK lost a few girls

Real has another 2013 team, they would be above the 2014 team

Highland can’t go EDP. They enter a lot of EDP tourneys.

Im all for close games. But if you’re on the losing side of every close game that’s alarming. maybe they have no offense and play 9 girls on defense to keep their losses close and waste everyone’s time. Drop to appropriate flight and figure out how to play, win and have fun. You can’t subject 10 year olds to lose every single game for more than a year and expect them to continue to show up. The top teams in the 2nd flight are more deserving of a chance to play in the higher flight than the team that was already there and proved they don’t belong.

2014 is better than 2013 B team at Real. Why can’t Highland go EDP?

Because they are all sjeb and kingsway girls.

Go with 1 top flight. Teams will be left out, but they are not the best teams. It willl make 2nd flight better option for Crush, Torpedoes, Football Academy, etc

I agree with you on that. For kids, it’s not fun to keep losing… takes away the fun of it all. What’s the point of showing up when you know you don’t stand a chance. They go into the games with their mentality already low. That’s not a way to success. They are still so young.

It does take some time to adjust. They aren’t playing up because they are so much better than other teams their own age. They could both play like EDP 5/6 and win the division.
If you can’t compete in your own age it’s a disservice to their kids, their competition, selfish, stupid, etc.
Coaches, parents, programs do this for a feather in their cap.

There shouldn't be an issue with EDP creating a 2014 only 9v9 group. They did it last year with the 2011 boys for 11v11. That would be the right solution

I wish they would do that but the only time they done those types of brackets was with U12 teams.
