Well you said picks. So only 2 teams had multi girls from jersey . Interesting

The ID events do mean something and most clubs try to not send anyone who does not belong because it reflects really poorly on the a club coach/doc. They want their recommendations to be taken seriously. For the most part the kids there were all pretty known and for the teams we're familiar with, it was who you would have expected.

If the same kids keep attending and not getting called that does nothing for the coach, club or kid. The truth is they really use the kids attending to play against 1-2 they already ID’d and want to see further. If not, they wouldn’t get recommendations from coaches bc that’s a totally political bias ask. It’s normal for coaches to have their favorites and it’s not always the right player for this team.

I won't say there are no strange nominations ever, but the idea that the entire thing is political and meaningless implies that no one is there on merit. Coaches and DOCs are already ego maniacs and protective of their reputations so they generally don't go out of their way to push people forward who will make them look silly. At most, it is a tie breaker and yes, sometimes a less connected kid may get left out.

Agreed it works most of the time. A few exceptions of course, but the political kids usually get dropped at some point. There's a ton of one and dones also. You need to to truly be a top player to make it through multiple rounds

Not a single player from the entire east coast attending. Only player GA NYSC. Wow. Guess it truly doesn’t matter where you play.

guess the ID camps were just to see NC play. Thanks everyone for making her look good.

Did anyone expect something different? The ship has sailed. There is 1 kid in the northeast of relevance to the US program. This will not change at this stage. Next up 09’s.

Do you how many PDA players ever made a WNT? I don’t think anyone is upset that an 08 girl didn’t make the top 30 something kids in the nation. Nobody is moving across the country in order to get a kid on the National team. I know you think it’s point of contention with parents at PDA but it’s not. Nobody cares. PDA blue is still the top club in the region.
