The post above is referencing the women's NT not the men's.

Perhaps the answer is found in whatever Crossfire is doing given they have 3 players from three different branches in WA. That alone seems odd. Maybe the scout’s flight was cancelled and got stuck in WA.

Crossfire has three different teams in different parts of Washington state, One girl from each crossfire team made the team.EXAMPLE ONLY in NJ: It would be like one girl from CSA Monmouth, one girl from CSA Bergen and one girl from CSA Hudson Valley making the USWNT U15 team.

PDA management and PDA parents spoke loud and clear when the GDA asked if they would like to participate in a structured methodology that was tailored to produce NT quality players.

The answer was a resounding: “No thank you. Our methods of less practices and scrimmages during practice are a better way to win games as skills are overrated.” Parents also added “We prefer our kids to play HS than on the NT team”

I agree the choice was made and it was the right one. Being called to NT -What does it really get you? I mean really what does it get you? Nothing from what I can see. The kids that were called at u15 years ago some don’t even play soccer anymore. So again what’s the point?

It gets you a lot of looks from top programs. A lot. That makes families very happy.

there are many one-and-dones. If you start getting multiple calls then you're really in the top group of players

GDA was not going to do anything vastly different for developing NT players. And yes most families didn't care because they knew their kids weren't NT level players. USSF/GDA vastly underestimated the appeal of HS soccer for girls as well as how entrenched ECNL was. When they created BDA there was no strong other league for boys to play in that also offered HS soccer.

They do not have 3 team spread throughout the state, just one team where the club is based out of (Redmond, WA.). All 3 girls are on the Crossfire 08G ECNL team.

Didn't Solar have 5 on one NT list? Sometimes a team is just lucky AF with talented players, other years they come up empty

I think Solar had several at the 07 age group. But it's interesting that only one player from the 08 team was invited to Portland. Solar 08s are ECNL National Champs. I know they had 5 or 6 that were part of the 60 player roster, but only their goalie was invited back to the smaller camp.

Word is getting around that another camp will be held next month. No other info.

Interesting that the 2 local 08’s on the final U15 squad are both GA club players.

PDA parents know the club is just a boondoggle for kids and that women’s soccer has no future. Being on top of the HS ladder is as good as it gets.

NYSC has had a player on the squad for many years. Their 2008 plays up 2 years and this has been consistent for many of the NYSC NT players. It is interesting because the team they play on is not competitive and they don't usually make it to any championships or playoffs yet always have a player part of the squad. They even have a girl at Stanford. The brand definitely holds a ton of weight on the men's ---so that is likely why.
