USYNT U-15 Girls Camp

I think Solar had several at the 07 age group. But it's interesting that only one player from the 08 team was invited to Portland. Solar 08s are ECNL National Champs. I know they had 5 or 6 that were part of the 60 player roster, but only their goalie was invited back to the smaller camp.

Word is getting around that another camp will be held next month. No other info.

That 08 Solar goalie is next level, I expect to see her on the final roster.

NYSC has had a player on the squad for many years. Their 2008 plays up 2 years and this has been consistent for many of the NYSC NT players. It is interesting because the team they play on is not competitive and they don't usually make it to any championships or playoffs yet always have a player part of the squad. They even have a girl at Stanford. The brand definitely holds a ton of weight on the men's ---so that is likely why.

There have been a lot of ID Camps all over the country these past few months. Imagine the roster will change a lot from camp to camp.

why so mad? My bad 1 year not 2. It really doesn’t make a big difference at that age. Half the girls are better or worse than those a year or two up. Some are 1 month a part in age and they all play together in HS.
And yes we know about the Stanford player coming in late but she definitely played for NYSC while on NT. It’s a small soccer community- I was not off or wrong at all.
The point of my post was that NYSC always seems to have a player make the cut over everyone else in the tri-state.

Solar 08 had two outstanding players and honestly the goalie was not one of them. All of their player were good but their center mid and left wing were a nightmare for the opposing team. The goalie was ok but nothing special. Mean while Crossfire didn't make it out of the playoffs, didn't really have anything special and they contributed 3 girls. I'm not saying that the girls that were picked are not deserving but I would expect the two best players from the team that won the ECNL nationals to be there.

Likely those Solar players don’t have a connection. There are a few players in NJ that have been overlooked for years. You could be amazing but if you don’t have support from club/coach or a connection you’re not getting in. Don’t say that’s not true because we all know it is and it’s been said over and over by the WNT players themselves.

You are right about that its a joke. But not sure the players they choose are amazing either. Its all in the eyes of the coaches --either you fit their mold or your don't. agree- who cares - this sport has no money and no future.
