Not true. ECNL Finals are during that same time period. Matchfit will never beat Solar 09s anyway.

Not sure how the competition is for girls, but for boys Gothia, San Marino, etc. is a nice experience for low to mid level teams. If you want higher competition like liverpool, man united, barcelona youth, you go to a tournament like the MIC Cup in Barcelona.

14 is an early age. At 11 some kids still believe in Santa. Going to Sweden at 11 for soccer isn’t shaping their future decisions anymore than it would at 14. At least at 14 they have more experience behind them and better understanding of their goals.

Many teams from all over the world attend the Gothia Cup. This is mostly local/regional clubs.
Like anything else you are free to attend, like many teams from the USA do, or chose not to go. If MF shore wants to attend, great for them. I'm sure they'll have a great experience. If you think it's crazy, don't go.
