The top PDA players have equal or better options. We have had this discussion already. Top tier players (like those who chose Columbia) want to get out of State rather than RU in NJ. That’s a fact, MO and his staff try the best they can and know getting top players from other out of State clubs to come to RU located in NJ is a tough sell. Even with being a P5 university that’s not enough as a draw to bring players.

Should the drop-off be that steep once you get past the top 3-4 kids? Are the kids at Rutgers the same kids who are on PDA for non-soccer reasons?

What steep drop off? There are alot of talented women on this Rutgers team, they just haven't played togther as good as they should. There are many reasons for a lackluster season but lack of talent isn't one of them

You can ignore reality but to do this poorly is either a testament to the lower talent level or poorer coaching level.

And this is the assessment of an anonymous soccer talent expert. Watched Rutgers play in four matches. Very talented core group lacking any chemistry in the last 1/3rd. In addition, Lacking scorers and finishers. Playing in the BIG TEN they finished where they deserved. Each has their reality or alternative reality.

Four matches made you an expert so who are you to knock another's perspective without knowing how many they took in?

Stud striker was anything but and it took him a full season to realize the other shorter version of said striker also wasn't pulling her weight and lost time finally.

The stud transfer was also a bust.

All relative based on expectations and competition.

She is a college senior and have another girl in HS as well.

Who and where they play doesn't inpact the ability to evaluate a soccer match/team dynamic and coaching.

yes, it seems like goal scoring was one of the main issues this year, how is pda recruiting class looking for next year? any new players coming in to help the issues?...

This year's RU recruiting class looks very weak, especially the girls joining from PDA
