Viewership dropped by about 20 percent on Wednesday.

Compared to other televised political moments of historical importance, it’s a fairly weak showing. In 2018, the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh drew an audience of 20.4 million on the six broadcast networks.

Bolton isn't a staff member any longer. From what I've read legally he can testify on anything other than issues of national security (which no doubt Trump would claim "everything" was a matter of national security). In that cases he could meet with those on the Senate national security committee behind closed doors.

It would be determined by the courts, which is exactly why Dems didn't pursue him during the House proceedings.

Additionally, why do you think he wouldn't use the standard Clinton line of "I don't recall" if it was determined he testify.

Interesting, there are emails tying the whistleblower to a 2016 meeting that the Obama administration held with Ukrainian officials about corruption involving Ukrainian gas company Burisma. The emails also discussed whether the relationship Hunter Biden had with the company could complicate any investigation.
