So by that fact alone one should expect the top are going to benefit from tax reform.... except if you live in a high tax state like New York, California, or Massachusetts. I love to see the rich in those states whine about now having to pay their "fair share".
-Debt was going down in the last three years of Obama's presidency as the sh*t economy he inherited finally turned around.
-All Trump has done is send the debt skyrocketing to unsustainable levels in a strong economy. Once it starts to falter - and the signs are there that it is beginning already - the debt will only get worse.
-He keeps touting the stock market but 50% of Americans own NO STOCK and 80% of the market is owned by 10% of the population.
Needless to say many in that 10% aren't die hard Trump supporters and they certainly aren't benefiting from teh market. The wealthy simply vote in their best financial interests, whoever that may be.
-He's hitting his base hard with cuts to farm subsidies, medicare, education, infrastructure, possibly even social security. Even they can only tolerate so much when it comes to their wallets

Household Income Jumps To All-Time Highs Under Trump — Why Isn't This Big News?

According to PBS: "The poverty rate fell 0.04 percent in 2017, to 12.3 percent. That puts it slightly lower than the 2007 poverty rate, just before the recession started. The African-American poverty rate saw the biggest decline at 0.8 percent."
The problems this country has faced in terms of subsidies, medicare, education, infrastructure and social security are all problems that both parties have continually kicked down the road instead of addressing. That's the fact of the matter and I wouldn't expect with the country fractured as it is that we should expect any miracles from Trump to solve them, particularly with Democrats fighting him on every level. And as far as the economy in 2019, all predictions for the past year have been that you should expect a slowing. Europe's economy is a mess and China's economy has been slowing.
