            Lol.

How are President Snowflakes fee fees tonight.

If waking up in the White House when he can hear protestors enraged him, perhaps he should retreat to the safe space of trump tower.

Yes that's right. Probably needs a few trigger warning too.

ENDING VIOLENCE - OK, I'm all for that. Do we march to end violence while we have speakers want to commit violent acts on government buildings? Do we march to end violence while Chicago's murder rate is inconceivably high? We drop a bomb every 3 minutes? What violence specifically is being referred to?

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS - Again, I'm all for that. I can't see where any candidate has pushed to eliminate any of these rights now that they are in the roles they are in today. Why the government should pay for those rights is the question, but you should be able to continue to do what you want, with what you want, and pay the consequences for that. Seems fair.

LGBTQIA RIGHTS - Another one I'm all for. I agree that everyone should have the same rights, no matter their orientation. Glad we have, for the first time in our history, a President who supports gay marriage from the time he was elected. Right out the gate, he supports it. I do differ on the request as stated to be "free of gender norms". That's going to be difficult to realize, since every living thing is built on a specific gender (i.e. a pollinator and a pollinatee, so to speak). So, I do feel we need to keep biology in line with the rest of the plant and animal kingdom. However, wear what you want to wear. I'm not checking under the hood.

WORKER’S RIGHTS - I'll bite on some of this, not all:

*Equal pay for women: Yes. Let's start with Hollywood ;-)
*Access for affordable childcare: Is this only a women's issue? Define "access", meaning...the company needs to pay? That's a benefit, not a requirement. Choose your employment based on their benefits. This is a no for me.
              *Sick days: See above
              *Healthcare: See above
              *Paid family leave: See above
*Healthy work environments: Common sense yes. That also means that one should be free of persecution and labeling fellow employees as hateful racists based on their political party of choice.

CIVIL RIGHTS - Wholeheartedly agree. I am curious why some white women were told they were not welcome at these marches. Seems to go against that...no?

DISABILITY RIGHTS - How could this not be a yes? Why is this a question? Other than how they slipped in a "women's angle" on the basic principle of disability rights. Like...disabled men aren't included? Weird.

IMMIGRANT RIGHTS - Naturalized? Legalized? In the process of? Sure. We are coming off a presidency where more illegal immigrants were deported than all other presidencies combined. Where were these marches then? I have forged some great friendships with people who emigrated here. They went through a process, a lengthy one, and have become citizens. They are unbelievably upset at the attempts to bypass the rules they had to follow. So, on a general nature, yes...if doing it legally.

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE: Sure thing. I differ greatly with many from the Right on this. Is this something that should be included in a "Women's March" is my question. Sounds more like a list of demands in a hostage situation...but I digress...

Where do the pussy hats fit in? The vajajay costumes? I mean...if I knew someone wearing one, I don't know who I could avoid calling her cl!itface after that....

To summarize, it really comes down to your personal beliefs. Do you feel the Federal Government should be responsible for many of the items listed above? Or, do you believe you should be personally responsible for it?

I can't see where the words "elimination" of any of these concerns were stated...just that WE shouldn't pay for it.

What's even more interesting, is these "Marches" were pretty much just sore losers. The largest "Marches" were in areas that are solidly democrat...have been...and will always be.

While impressive, it only shows that they still need to figure out a way to get their message beyond the same group that just lost.

A group of men from west Texas entered the restaurant and started to chat with Harris. One of the men, who said he was a dentist, complimented her on her smile. Harris, who is black, told the Post she was admittedly a bit prejudice when the men, who were white, told her they were in town to support Trump.

“We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people. Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!"

“You automatically assume if someone supports Trump that they have ideas about you, but [the customer is] more embracing than even some of my more liberal friends, and there was a real authenticity in our exchange,” she told the paper.

                            NIMBY

                            Brookline Family Median Income: $144,904

You’d think Las Vegas billionaire Steve Wynn wanted to level Coolidge Corner and install a giant casino from the overwrought letters and comments that have lately poured into the local papers from some of Brookline’s leading citizens.

One town meeting member warned of a wave of “carpetbagging” opportunists on the loose, while a Brookline selectwoman warned the town faces a looming “disaster.”

“Say goodbye to Coolidge Corner,” one resident cryptically announced at recent public meeting.

It’s not a casino or a mall that has Brookline on edge, but rather that other grave threat from which local officials across the Bay State have done their best to spare us all – the humble apartment building.

A flurry of proposed apartment projects, including a glass and steel luxury high-rise planned for Coolidge Corner, has stoked fears that Brookline’s school system, already in the midst of an enrollment boom, will see even more families with young children move to town.

Yet the fear that all these new apartments will overload the Brookline school system with young children is misplaced. As is often the case with opposition to new apartment buildings, NIMBY opponents are whipping out the school cost card when in fact, stats clearly show enrollment is being driven by young families buying homes and condos in town.

There’s no denying that Brookline has seen a big jump in school enrollment. The excellent reputation of the Brookline public schools – combined with the struggles neighboring Boston and Cambridge have had with their own systems – have made it a magnet for parents looking for an alternative to pricey private schools.

Selectman Nancy Daly was blunt in her assessment, blaming the number of new developments for the growing number of students in the town’s schools and blasting the state’s 40B affordable housing law as “disaster for this town,” The Boston Globe recently reported.

All of the bevy of recent projects proposed under the 40B affordable housing law will also include another sizable benefit – dozens of subsidized apartments to be rented out at below market rates.

In a town where the median price of a home is $1.6 million, that housing is badly needed.

So what the hand-wringing? Unfortunately, in more than a few Boston suburbs, new apartment buildings have become convenient scapegoats for local politicians eager to deflect anger over rising school costs.

The reality is that costs and enrollment are rising because young families, eager for their children to get the best possible education, are buying homes and condos in communities with great school systems, and Brookline has one of the best.
