Looks like Manafort's going to be in deep doodoo.

"Under the U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act, people who lobby on behalf of foreign political leaders or political parties must provide detailed reports about their actions to the Justice Department. A violation is a felony and can result in up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000."

"Imagine that you launched a presidential campaign to further your showbiz career. After 14 months as a candidate, you’ve realized that you can’t win in November but you can attract an audience of conservative-news consumers who are looking for an alternative to Fox News. How would you spend the last weeks of your campaign?

Perhaps, you would prioritize keeping your prospective audience entertained, above all else. And to do that, you’d make someone with experience in far-right infotainment the chief executive of your campaign. Plus, you might want to seek out an adviser who really knows the cable-news business. Someone like, I don’t know, Roger Ailes?

Let’s dispel with this fiction that Donald Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing. He knows exactly what he’s doing."

"The notion that a presidential candidate would be competing hardest in the waning months of an election for potential subscribers or viewers down the line is unprecedented in American politics. But Trump’s recent actions have suggested to a number of journalists and political operatives that his greatest ambition might not be the White House."

The question: "So, about that 400 million?"

            The LibAnswer: "#4 and #5"

            Truly Shocking.

The Pew Research Center survey finds that if the election were held today, 41% of those surveyed would support Clinton, 37% would support Trump, 10% would back Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 4% would back Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

You ever take a poll? Have to not go quick and really listen to the questions. Pollster ended up hanging up on me last night when I wouldn't give straight answers.

They were phrasing questions like the following when discussing Candidate A:

"With (Candidate A's) history of (insert commendable comment here), would you be extremely likely, more likely, less likely, extremely less likely to vote for them".

              When discussing Candidate B:

"Critics say that (Candidate B) has a history of (insert derogatory comment here), would you be extremely likely, more likely, less likely, extremely less likely to vote for them."

So, this raised a couple of issues. First, if you had no background knowledge of either candidate, A would be more likely to be considered as the questions were commendable toward them. B's questions were more negative, so immediately thought of in a bad light.

I also stopped answering as I said "These are from critics, not facts, so I'm not going to vote based on what so-called critics said."

Last, with some of the issues, you only had the 4 choices mentioned above. On some, I could give a rat's azz about them, so there needs to be a middle-answer, a "no affect".

All that means I have no idea if I can trust polls. But, it certainly SEEMED like it was an opportunity to plant a seed for a candidate, dressed up like an impartial poll.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A firm run by Donald Trump's campaign chairman directly orchestrated a covert Washington lobbying operation on behalf of Ukraine's ruling political party, attempting to sway American public opinion in favor of the country's pro-Russian government, emails obtained by The Associated Press show. Paul Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, never disclosed their work as foreign agents as required under federal law.

That's what that call was - that wasn't a poll, it was a campaign call.

“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign,” Trump said in a statement. “I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today...

A campaign call is made to support a candidate or denounce a candidate. Asking questions on how a person may vote is a poll.
Like most issues, Dem's try to confuse the two. The pretzel party at it again, just twist everything around.

Trump campaign has turned into just another season of The Apprentice on national TV. Another manager fired and replaced during each episode.

Interesting talking to my young daughter about politics. She sees Hypocillary's commercials, and says "how could anyone vote for Trump?"

I said, "you have to be careful just watching TV, the commercials are made to convince, not inform."

I then played her two video clips, unedited. She then saw the commercials again, and could see how they are edited. She then says "that's lying, he didn't say that".

I corrected her...it's not really lying. They are his words and he has to stand behind them, right or wrong. She then said "it's obvious, you can hear the clips and tell they are missing words. Why would anyone fall for that?"

                                I had no answer.
