I got hands plenty dirty starting HS and Summer's through first years of college. Dropped out. Worked my way through when I went back. Worked 4 AM - 9 AM every morning so could,take classes before 9:30. STEM field. Lots of study while working 30 + hours (worked 4 to noon Saturday )

Worked all kind of jobs before I went back to school. Yes loved in cities been victim of crime etc

Here's the problem with your post. Whenever I turn on the TV or pick up a newspaper or magazine, I get the liberal version. In order to get the conservative version, I have to look for it and I do. Do you? Do you make an effort to listen to that which you disagree in an attempt to understand the opposing view? Or do you strictly go to media sources that reflect your agreement?

BTW as I type, I'm listening to MSNBC. The only time I listen to Fox is at 6 PM.

You haven't debunked anything. Your story is admirable . However the lives of many others may be more or less remarkable. What makes the difference is what environments existed, if any, that promoted streams of consciousness in directions of free will, and underwhelmed by the streams of others. Having the ability of how to think, rather than what to think is paramount. Unfortunately in my experience , I have yet to meet any significant number of Liberals that know how to think beyond certain borders.

They seem to be always stuck, like a needle on a record , on perceived injustice anywhere they can find it. It is almost an obsession. Contrary opinions are quickly labeled as hateful, unsympathetic, and other more colorful descriptions.

So you passed through vistas of diversity , but was it actually long enough to embrace the fragrance of the setting ? And how long ago ? Have you been to a classroom in some of America's inner cities lately ? Have you seen the consequences of Liberal tampering ? Have you driven along with any Police Officers in an inner city for any length of time ? Have you seen how our inner cities have regressed to be nearly a no man's land in many areas?

Bernie wants to offer " free College", yet in so many instances, we can't even get children to attend Free public schools with any regularity. Where is the money going to come from ? We know that in the land of higher education, the increased cost for attendance has been the result of more and more Government $$$ , and in return, the Administrative portion of the Financials has grown and grown.

He thinks like a hippy , where perhaps in his world all those " free College " students will be in and out in 4 years, and the taxpayer will be able to handle it. But the reality is that with the system we have in place now, less than 40 % graduate in 4 years. Colleges mostly publish 6 year figures. " Free College" , just like SNAP, Section *, and many other Liberal programs will just be another package on the backs of taxpayers for the dependent class.

And that's what you, and other Liberals don't understand at all. Human nature, the Human condition. Humans will follow the path of least resistance, until they are properly motivated to change their behavior. Liberals are unable to connect the dots, and don't motivate , they placate.

I review FOX, Fox News etc (so HARD to find on tv dial, right? For that conservative viewpoint. In fact, when I take tv news it's always fox or cnn....msnbc doesn't spend as much for on air panelists and therefore it's entertainment value is limited to me and tv news is already of limited informational value for me since I'm usually already informed about what they are talking about.

When I turn on my radi, Limbaugh ...michael....,,what's his name...levin? .Glenn beck....please fill in the names of cognate liberal radio hosts and explain that the MILLIONS those conservative viewpoints reach don't count (btw I listen for information)
