      Tee hee

Now you are pointing at basically self-identification? So now you are saying race is a choice, 180 degrees opposite of earlier....

As a reality based, data driven realist I find cognitive dissonance uncomfortable. You don't do you? Do you even know what I'm talking about here?

Wow. Your brand did better when you guys kept to the dark places and kept quiet. Could maintain charade you knew something.
      It is very simple.
People who check off white on the box, with an exclusive family history of others of the same race , why don't they have children of another race . like Black ?

Can.not.wait for the Republican convention to convene. Will be first-class entertainment. The only thing that might possibly make it even more entertaining would be to lock the doors and release a dozen lions.

With the way Bernie's people think they will get the shaft, the Dem convention should be equally entertaining.

In the meantime, still waiting for the FBI.

I'm going to start making popcorn a week in advance. Going to need mountains.

But remeber ....you heard it on this board over and over. There is no Republican civil war. Yes, I'm sure you remeber those good old days as well.

See that's another false equivalence. Said it before, I'll say it again. I'll take all the action you want on that up to a couple thousand.

Keep waiting for the FBI too. That's another nutter wet dream advanced by the nuts you listen to.

You really are thick aren't you? Black is not a race. Neither is white.

Try harder, ok. I never saw any boxes anywhere labeled "black" and "white" for race. Were you born in Selma or something?

It's also a well known fact that many people who identify as Caucasian due to a preponderance of Caucasian ancestors have ancestors of other extractions. Same for African-Americans. As you know it wasn't unusual for African-American slaves to have Caucasian "ancestors"

You do realize that many more knowledgable than yourself don't feel categories race is worth the bother, right? MOst historical characterization of race haven't been built on solid science actually

                    Drumpf is does it again...

He says if abortion is made illegal that women who get abortions should be punished. This flies in the face of the standard Con stance that the providers should be punished, not the women.

Is there any woman in the U.S. who still supports Drumpf? (Aside from Sarah Palin.)

                    Excerpted from this article...
                    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-35931103

Republican Party's official position is that abortion should be illegal. Conservative politicians and anti-abortion activists who view abortion as akin to murder, however, tend to avoid outlining any criminal punishment for women who undergo the procedure, instead targeting the doctors responsible.

The reason for this is simple - to make abortion bans more acceptable to a general public that does not want to see possibly distraught women grappling with unwanted pregnancies sent to prison.

Donald Trump, as he is wont to do, just trampled through this carefully constructed conservative political dance with all the grace of a rhinoceros at a tea party. Thanks to his assertion, after prodding, that women should face "some form of punishment" for having an illegal abortion, the conservative pro-life movement is going to be forced to defend their beliefs on uncomfortable ground. Republican candidates will be asked, again and again, to defend or denounce Mr Trump's comments.

This is exactly the kind of scenario that terrifies Republican politicians about Mr Trump as their party's nominee. His ill-considered remarks and shoot-from-the-hip approach to media interviews could be a political minefield for their candidates in the autumn.

In all likelihood it's just a taste of things to come.

Corporations Grow Nervous About Participating in Republican Convention

Some of the country’s best-known corporations are nervously grappling with what role they should play at the Republican National Convention, given the likely nomination of Donald J. Trump, whose divisive candidacy has alienated many women, blacks and Hispanics.

An array of activist groups is organizing a campaign to pressure the companies to refuse to sponsor the gathering, which many of the corporations have done for the Republican and the Democratic Parties for decades.

The pressure is emerging as some businesses and trade groups are privately debating whether to scale back their participation, according to interviews with more than a dozen lobbyists, consultants and fund-raisers directly involved in the conversations.

Apple, Google and Walmart are among the companies assessing their plans for the convention, which will be held July 18 to 21 in Cleveland.

In addition to Mr. Trump’s divisive politics, there is the possibility that protests, or even violence, will become a focus of attention at the convention. Mr. Trump has suggested that there will be “riots” if he is not chosen as the party’s nominee, and the city of Cleveland recently sought bids for about 2,000 sets of riot gear for its police force.

A reduction in support from major corporations would be worrisome for Cleveland, which celebrated the awarding of the convention last year as a symbol of the city’s rebirth. The host committee is seeking to raise about $64 million for the event.

“I have talked to several people at companies who have said, ‘I’ve always gone to the convention, I’ve always participated at some level, but this year we’re not putting it in our budget, we’re not going, we’re not going to sponsor any of the events going on,’ ” said Carla Eudy, a Republican fund-raising consultant.

Walmart, which contributed $150,000 to the Republican convention in 2012, has yet to commit to contributing this year. “We haven’t made any decisions,” said Dan Bartlett, executive vice president of corporate affairs at Walmart, who emphasized that even before Mr. Trump’s rise, the company had been discussing reducing its involvement.

Apple and Google declined to comment.

Coca-Cola has declined to match the $660,000 it gave for the 2012 Republican convention, donating only $75,000 for this year and indicating that it does not plan to provide more.

Kent Landers, a Coca-Cola spokesman, declined to explain the reduction in support. But officials at the company are trying to quietly defuse a campaign organized by the civil rights advocacy group Color of Change, which says it has collected more than 100,000 signatures on a petition demanding that Coca-Cola and other companies decline to sponsor the convention. Donating to the event, the petition states, is akin to endorsing Mr. Trump’s “hateful and racist rhetoric.”

“These companies have a choice right now, a history-making choice,” said Rashad Robinson, the executive director of Color of Change. “Do they want riots brought to us by Coca-Cola?”

If the Cons are smart they'll go Pay Per View with the convention. Millions will shell out money to see this trainwreck.

                                So let's see it.

As far as the second part, I'll just say I personally spend zero time constantly affirming the appropriateness of my sexual orientation to myself. Apropos to someone else's earlier comments, perhaps that should suggest to you that you aren't completely comfortable in your own skin,
Once again, both sides beating a dead horse. Proven that there is no genetic link (as yet) to what causes homosexuality. At the same time homosexuality is clearly not a choice. Heterosexuality is not a choice either.
