It too brass balls to speak yesterday. I wasn't completely convinced of her testimnony (I want and investigation and other witnesses) but it took a tremendous act of courage to show up and speak, the entire country watching her. Mrs. Kavanaugh is the Stepford wife. She can't even answer questions without looking for his approval first and he even answered for her.

Yet he also wasn't wearing his wedding ring yesterday, but had worn it in other appearances. Things that make you go hmmmm.....

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this. Not even those on the right like the Fox pundits who gave Ford high marks for her credibility. I think they are just ignorant of the information or afraid to criticize her testimony out of fear of the MeeToo movement. I'm not trying to say she wasn't believable or that she was lying, but she is a PhD in psychology and she must certainly understand the psychology of lying both in terms of what makes a good liar and what makes a bad liar. So she had an advantage there in that respect as far as her opening statement is concern. She should also know the work that has been done on contaminated memories. Her recollections might almost be considered a case study on that.

            Uh oh!

"Swetnick also claims to have a security clearance with the IRS despite having recently had a $40,000 judgement against her for unpaid taxes. She settled a $40,303 IRS judgement on March 23 of this year, according to a public records search. Maryland court records show a $62,821 tax lien filed against her on Oct. 2, 2015."

Like it would actually matter??? Sorry it would not. If an additional invetigation were done and the results didn't fit the left's preconceptions, we'd continue to hear what a vile human being Kavanaugh is. Republicans need to confirm the guy.

^^ Proof of how we got to where we are today.

Untable/Angry (or, extremely pissed off to have his name, his family, his career dragged through the mud in the most embarrassing public display of governmental affairs seen in my lifetime. We actually managed to talk about farting during confirmation hearings....)

Partisan, yes, as he was attacked in a purely partisan way. When he's called "evil" and "we will do everything in our power to make sure you don't get elected and drag this out beyond the midterms". Yes, partisan.

Drunk - Careful there. Baseless accusations are what got us here in the first place....

How did Kavanaugh pay off his massive debts and afford a $100,000 country club membership and pricey DC home on a judge's salary?

Probably the same way these politicians became millionaires on Congressional salaries.

I think you just answered it: on his salary.

And, lucky him, his family was well-off so I bet he came out of college with little to no debt. Certainly helps to get your career started.

The most insane narrative to come out of the Kavanaugh hearings is that Kavanaugh is an unfit judge because he was angry. Well, let's think about this. Why might a guy be angry at a bunch of smear merchants who have been trying to ruin his life, end his career, and destroy his family?
