    No crime at all.
There isn't enough there to charge him with public intoxication much less anything sexually related.

    1982 -
    1982 ?

One of my teachers / coach fired a starters pistol in the locker room after practice when I was 12. I think it affected me my entire life. I am deadly afraid of guns and loud noises .He is now 82 and retired , lives in Florida. Should I get him arrested ?
We had a teacher who slept with students. He was never arrested but was eventually fired after YEARS of it happening. That's how things were handled back then (I'm the same exact age as Kavanaugh). Molesting priests were moved from parish to parish. That's how things were handled back then. We live in a different time now. This isn't just about crimes but moral character. This about a SCOTUS judge who will be deciding on cases involving women for 30 years. There's plenty of other conservative judges they could put on the court that don't have all this baggage. The GOP is hanging themselves with this guy. why?

      I obviously am doofus.

If you don’t believe sexual abuse victims when they don’t report immediately, you don’t believe them.

A grand jury of citizens in PA disagreed after an extensive investigation.

      Just sayin ‘.

I believe the little boys and girls raped by priests and these women even though it took years to come forward

Why should they waste time when nobody can corroborate Ramirez's allegation?

What other people do has NOTHING to do with the conduct of others. each is an individual, that makes their own choice. There isn't any collective unity of victims linked to each other, unless they know each other personally.

Your attitude and opinion is quickly flushed down the Toilet in case after case, Duke Lacrosse, Rolling Stone , and dozens and dozens of falsely accused men all over the country.

This is why we have due process and also statutes of limitations. Reasonable doubt , remember that ? When you just fire off letters of accusation , then support them with sensational talking head navel gazing and hand wringing , it removes the issues from the forums that are best served to get to the root of them.
No more innocent until proven guilty by Dems, right Chuck Schumer ?

IF the baggage is real, I agree. I don't like how it has come out late; he's been nominated for 3 months. So, IF it's real, it still opens up the questions of motive.

As for another person, the reality is no matter what/who is the nomination, someone will find something from their past and it will be a big story. Whether or not that something is real or not doesn't matter. We've got people saying he's "probably guilty" and therefore, he's done. That's scary.

Say, just say, Kav has done nothing wrong. That is a possibility, right? But, to some, that's not even a consideration.

He went through an FBI-vetting process already. What will stop the next nomination from another late derailment, and another, and another?

That is what irritates me about this. Not blaming any victim, it's the way it's come down and they are becoming political pawns in the process.

Would the Right do the same if the shoe was on the other foot? Quite likely, yes.

I'm an upstanding citizen and a contributing member of society, with a family and a career and volunteer in the community, but I've seen things from decades ago that would preclude me from many posts today (one reason among many...). Yeah, I've smacked an ass or two. Also had my ass smacked a few times, and had my crotch grabbed.

Sorry, just the reality and I know I am not alone. I know of policemen, politicians, doctors, teachers, salesmen, firemen, principals, executives, small business owners, FBI agents...every walk of life who can look back and say "Ugh, yeah, maybe that was me". And, there are both women and men in that category.

They're so extreme Democrats have asked Avenatti to stay out of it.

If Republicans buckle on this, then any decent person can be expected to be treated indecently by Democrats.

If Republicans buckle on this, then they can definitely kiss the midterms good bye, because their based will not turn out to vote.

BOTH Ford and Ramirez WANT to be interviewed by the FBI, where lying carries serious penalties.

BOTH Ford and Swetnick put Mark Judge at kavanaughs elbow. Independently, a Mark Judge girlfriend comes forward to say he told her of an incident similar to what Ford, Ramirez and Swetnick describe

Cons don’t want to swear Judge in as a fact witness . Why? No FBI investigation . Why?
Simply put, Mark Judge is not Brett Kavanaugh.

BTW did you actually read Swetnick's affidavit? It says absolutely nothing. It's just more unsubstantiated sh*t thrown at the wall hoping it will stick.

For Chrissake this woman says these parties were held regularly and she herself attended 10 of them in which she observed boys standing in line for the "rape train". Is she sure they were standing in line for the "rape train" and not the bathroom? She admits drugs and alcohol at these parties. And BTW where were any of the parents of kids holding these parties? If she knew this was going on why didn't she report it? Why didn't anyone report it? Because it is all Democrat b ull sh*t.

As a woman, I'm a bit concerned that it maybe a myth that women are unwilling to tell anyone when an assault occurs. I know that I would certainly tell someone. I might be reluctant to tell my parents or go to the police under certain circumstances, but you can be sure at the very least I would have confided in a friend. I can't believe that I am an outlier on this.

No woman wants their name in the news like this. Three seemingly credible white women. At what point is the tipping point? What was the tipping point with Cosby? Do we want a man on SCOTUS who has a tipping point? of female accusers?

And while the Cons claim the Dems are playing dirty politics let's remind them that 3 Dems voted for the last Trump SCOTUS nominee Neil Gorsuch.

I think each woman's circumstances, reactions, reasons for coming forward (or not), are very individual. I don't think you'd know for certain until it happens to you. Also, there have been so many cases recently of men who received essentially no punishment for sexual assault or rape. If you want more women to come forward they have to feel like their accusations are taken seriously and that if found guilty, their rapist will be punished.
