It's bad, but I agree it could have been worse for DT, and of course we'll see what happens tomorrow. Given the build-up, he's likely relieved. The interactions are not ambiguous at all, but there are moments DT can cling to suggest room for misinterpretation. The problems are that he cannot get out of asking to speak alone, and kicking the VP, the AG, and JK out of the room. The emphasis on and demand for loyalty also are huge problems. He better hope there is nothing to the dossier. And assuming there is no more "there, there" he really screwed up and has shot himself in the foot by firing Comey and all the tweeting since then. Also not good that he told others like Coats and Rogers to get the heat off.

Just read comey's statement for tomorrow.
In and of itself it establishes obstruction of justice if his claims are true. Let alone abuse of power etc .
Gonna get real very fast.
Ivan, can you finally allow this is more than a "nothingburger"?
Hahahahaha

Addendum to 19608.
The Trump surrogates and media will attempt to pick at the edges on Comey and the whole "grandstanding" thing, but that will not work in the end. Comey has impenetrable integrity. His version will prove to be 100% accurate.

He's been commended for integrity, and slammed for lack of, by the same people at different times depending on which side of the fence his statement falls on.

As a non-Trump fan, I happen to agree that he seems like he certainly does. He's been the bad guy to both sides; it's just alarming how both sides of the fence flip the switch depending on what he says.
THAT lacks integrity.

Hate was too strong. I think he really screwed up especially the second time days before the election, but not because of a lack of integrity. If anything his servitude to integrity is the problem. But there is no chance he would lie or majorly distort a narrative of events. That's my point.

It's a complex narrative and he wants the senators to have time to prepare questions ....
Face it, he's handling this way better than the trump side....
Keep trying though

Why would the Senators need more time?
