The alternative was accept this bill that was even worse and would fail more spectacularly. Trump is right in one respect, Dems and Republicans will have to come together to fix the ACA. It really only needs tweaks. The Ryan bill (you can't call it a republican bill) was terrible, not thought out, cruel, and ineffective. So much for 7 years of planning by the Republican leadership.

Washington is broken. The only way to break the logjam is to honestly let Obamacare fail. That will cause pain and suffering.

Trump should move on. Leave healthcare alone. And let it become an issue that both sides feel strongly about. At this point it is all partisan nonsense.

Yes the ACA (Obamacare ) needs ONLY tweaks. Functionally working for years so no need for this rot.

Each of the GOP kabuki votes to repeal cost $1 million each

They need to start doing their JOBS.

Is this what Dems call working? You have insurance, but can't afford the healthcare procedures?

Let me give you a recent example. One member with a family history of colon cancer went in to have a colonoscopy. Cost: $2800. Wife went in for a breast biopsy. Cost: $1500. Both under the deductible. How does a middle class working family afford these out of pocket expenses? Almost one third of Americans can not.

Here's one woman's experience, single mother of 2, has lost coverage 3 times, has had 160% increase in premiums, has 300% increase in deductibles. Is that what you call functioning, TeeHeeMan?

The issue with Obamacare was that there never was any real effort to make healthcare affordable. The goal of Democrats was social engineering and only to be able to say, look at all the people now covered. Some speculate too the real intent was to see Obamacare fail so universal healthcare could be put in place when Hillary became president.

BTW another promise broken with Obamacare was reducing expensive ER visits.
