Seniors and most 22’s are done .Returning kids to schools really killed a lot of these kids options.

-No one from your household has carpooled unmasked with someone outside of your household
-None of your children have been near a friend or family member from outside of your household unmasked.
Because the suggested guidelines cover all of these things. Have you been perfect?
Also, science will tell you that you’re actually safer wearing a mask on a 2 1/2 hour flight than you are eating in a restaurant for 90 minutes.
Too much assurance from the airlines:they are trying to survive. They will tell you anything to get you to fly.
3 hrs next to someone who may or may not have covid, mask on? Not even an operating room is that safe.
I have a hepa filter in my vacuum for heaven’s sake-doesn’t mean I stick my face in it.
And if planes are that air flow safe, why not allow smoking again?

Especially with 99.995% of the coaching around here...

Therefore we are doing a great job and the measures are working and/or Covid isn't as deadly as projected. What's your take?
You can try to spin that upsides down and backwards but it is a very easy concept to grasp. You are ignoring the recommendation and you are not alone. that is what is it is.

Another real example of what is written on the CDC website: the best way to prevent sexually transmitted disease is to abstain from sex. Just that one line, not abstain except with your spouse, or committed partner. It’s not a statement based in any livable reality, but it is on their website and is, in fact, the best way to prevent sexually transmitted disease. That means if you are a parent, you have gone against what they have written. Their guidance has to be applied to real life scenarios. There are 330 million unique real life scenarios in our country with 330 unique opinions on what it means to live a worthwhile life. Stop trying to force yours upon others.

There is no forcing any opinions on anyone. This is a soccer forum thread for opinions about COVID and a soccer event held in Florida. IF you are not interested in reading about these opinions, don't read the thread.

So less than 3 weeks away and information on schedules, scouts, etc all says coming soon! Are you 100% sure this is happening? Would suck to book flights, etc. and find out half the teams and scouts cancelled. With D1 in a dead period is it worthwhile for D2/3? If you are looking locally, you can reach those coaches here so why go down for what is likely to be Southern coaches?

Plus FL in terms of Covid is not in good shape. Traveler beware.
"Welcome to Florida — America’s sun-drenched State of Suspended Disbelief. From the pandemic’s infancy, DeSantis has conveniently, even diabolically, airbrushed covid-19 out of public life here. The result: 1.2 million total covid-19 cases, nearly 61,000 total hospitalizations and a new seven-day case-positivity rate of 9.7 percent — all rapidly rising toward crisis levels. Even Texas, which isn’t exactly a model of coronavirus caution, has a statewide mask mandate and lower cumulative infection rate than Florida.
The Republican governor’s response to the pandemic, in other words, has been a disaster — yet he shows no signs of changing course. Today, amid the state’s third surge, Floridians and tourists stand shoulder-to-shoulder in bars and restaurants and sashay into nightclubs and strip clubs. At the same time, DeSantis continues to shrug off statewide mask and distancing orders along with any real effort at contact tracing.
The governor has consistently played down the risks of covid-19, ignored credentialed scientists, sided with herd-immunity advocates, withheld information about hospitalizations and cases in nursing homes and schools, and cherry-picked numbers. In a state with a strong open-records law, DeSantis smothers transparency. As part of a “Blue Skies” initiative, reported by the South Florida Sun Sentinel, our governor even made clear that the state health department’s media people should not mention covid-19 until after the election; instead, department communications encouraged Floridians to get their flu shots and sign up for hearing-loss screenings.
Now DeSantis is refusing to release the weekly White House Coronavirus Task Force Reports on Florida, and news organizations are suing. Replete with dire warnings, the reports apparently contradict his cavalier way of doing business here.
