Problem is what they executed won't help and it was executed poorly.
Maybe it is more limited because that actually makes sense developmentally. Unfortunately, USSF is looking for more monetary scraps to feed to their losing entity on the boys side and looked to cash in as hard as possible on the girls side to achieve this goal.

Like in the US it is limited because there isn't a ton of interest in women's soccer. It's kind of like the WNBA here - basketball is an incredibly popular sport but the WNBA gets almost no interest from basketball fans. But it's good that other countries are ramping up their women's efforts. It's kind of boring if it's the US and everyone else. Some good competition can hopefully raise interest.

Once the transgenders get on the field and there are some real athletes on the pitch there will be more interest from the public

Don’t kid yourself. It’s light years behind. Watch any game in Otger countries. The stand are empty and that speaks volumes.

Ours don't exactly put butts in seats either; last CONCAF was pathetic. Besides attendance isn't reflective of what resources are going into other country's programs. Many have made tremendous strides in the last several years.

I disagree. My niece played internationally and she sent us pictures of the stands that had quite a crowd. And these were youth games. The local dignitaries came were out as well. The teams were able to get game ready in the different academies club houses and after the game had dinner with the players from the other team. The international teams treat the game differently; it has status.

Only reason GDA is taking SSS is so they don’t lose NEFC. Since Stars bailed out, NEFC hasn’t had another local DA club to compete with. NEFC has to travel out of state all the time and parents are tired of it. GDA is in real trouble given the number of quality clubs that have left.

Sorry for Nefc situation but how is it the responsibility of the SSS families to fix it?

It's not. But SSS club ownership did not consult with player/parents. Blame your ownership. And then decide if you want to be a part of that mess.

And NEFC would go where? NPL? Wait a bit and before you know it ECNL2 will be here. EHEHEH

Which only shows you how absurd it is - why not stay in NPL and not do all the traveling?! Both clubs will still be in a crappy NE division. What's the point? So what if NEFC gets two more local games a year? It still doesn't solve their problems, and now one of the better opponents is out of the league altogether. I don't see how this keeps NEFC happy at all.

Also to what if some players decide to go play for select instead of NEFC?
If a player is on the south shore wouldn't playing for select be more logical

I don't think that many players choose a club because of ecnl vs gda league. A few. Most choose because of coach, location, cost, travel burden, etc.

True. We don’t get large crowds here either. Leagues come and go. Always folding. There’s not enough interest to make it sustainable in the grand scheme of things.
