First how in the world can Select get a GDA just looking at their coaching staff? Its pretty thin they would have to bring in coaches which would mean paying which LL I'm sure doesn't want to do.
I think Select is fine where they are. They draw a good amount of talent there without being in one of the two leagues. If you were LL why would you jump into something that doesn't seem to stable? It wouldn't be for the money their price is almost the same as the other top clubs. Also why would you risk losing some players to scorpions because of the no high school rule?

If true (I have my doubts) it shows that USSF is desperate to fill geography. They took Seacoast last year when Stars dropped out along with Fury in NY which is horrible. It also shows they are worried more clubs may drop out (and it's rumored NYCFC and possibly NEFC are dropping out). As the better clubs leave they have to backfill with whoever they can get. If Select is thinking about it they best survey their current families first

Just when things were going great at SS Select they go and do this? Why? Because they have a few national pool caliber kids at super young ages? Likely a big mistake. GDA has no traction and clubs are leaving.

Scorpions must be licking their chops. If NEFC and Select pull out of DA, Scorpions struggles. If they stay in, huge benefit to Scorpions!

Not a Select parent, but making top flight at Jeff Cup in 7 age groups is not a fluke and takes more than just a couple of NT girls.

But competition in NPL is now pretty lame. Unless GDA goes away, then it gets better again :)
