Maybe he wanted HS sports. If you don't think it's in the cards you may as well enjoy HS.

There’s very few here on a list like this that have an actual shot at turning their youth club soccer experience into any sort of significant soccer career at the collegiate level. Threads like this really just champion those who have the means to throw a whole lot of money at engineering what the parent sees as their kid’s rightful due instead of letting it happen organically. With the sort that start and actively feed threads like this it’s all about top shelf brands instead of quality.

Don’t ya know because it’s waay more important on this site to call attention to some ISL kid going to Tufts than it is call attention to a former public school kid getting drafted by s pro team.

Maybe ecnl will offer a good alternative to nefc and gps. It’s in its nascent stage.

That is a legitimate point and worth a new thread.

To what end though? If the kid was cut why would you suggest spending the sort of money the ecnl is going to require, where's it going to take the kid? Isn’t that just feeding the delusion?

The truth is no one wants to talk about that kid because it’s too far away from their kids experience. They are so caught up in recommending some bench player join the ecnl to see it though. It is amusing though

All speaks to just how low the bar is set around here

Paul! Stop. Take your gargantuan insecurity somewhere else! Please stop with the focus on one player's choices, when they are working for him. You are truly pathological.

I am impressed with all the boys on the list, and congratulate them. Playing soccer in college is impressive, no matter what the resident lunatic posts. Well done boys!

There are actually more foreign born kids drafted in the top 2 rounds that US born. That speaks more about the quality of what is being developed in this country than anything else. Is interesting though when a kid from CT goes in the top 5 and you have a kid from ME and a kid from MA go in the top 2 “money” rounds that the information doesn’t even draw a raised eyebrow.

Why don't you start a thread about the MLS draft, then? Right now you are on a college commitment thread.

What are they being congratulated for? What’s so impressive about this list? Most everyone’s kids go to college these days. Are we just supposed to politely applaud them crossing the finish line? If that’s the case you’ve left a heck of a lot of kids off this list. Who on this list has accomplished something more than the masses of other high school graduates this coming spring. I’m sure that there are a few on this list that have so why aren’t they the focus? If you really want to congratulate someone why not congratulate someone who has actually done something?

The goal is too see how long the list can be, not how great the players on it are.

Ok, so tell me which kids on this list you think have the potential to get drafted in 4-5 years?
