What's amazing is that last June the thread was considered over, that the ulittles were complete and the high school years would make this thread obsolete. The baddest little team on the planet but a faint memory, lost to Tiktok and Dunkin double-shot with whipped cream physiques.

But the pettiness and vitriol has nevertheless persisted. I mean college scholarships amirite?

Some parents have finally started to understand that 1) their player ain't all that 2) maybe their player doesn't want/isn't appropriate for college soccer 3) much of the scene has changed a great deal since this thread started however many years ago, and how meaningless those ulittle games really were.

Others don't start to grasp it until the coaches don't come to watch their kid play or the offers don't come

AWOL? This group is too young for college coaches to look at until now, except maybe a nationally ranked stud. Next year is when the rubber hits the road for most.

I think this thread is only getting going. The recruiting and the showcases with real coaches on site will drive a ton of content over the next year+.
Honest question: The environment has been relatively stable compared to years prior (just changing GDA to GAL), Are the players staying with their middle-school clubs or are the top players consolidating?

Have you read any of this thread? Of course top players have moved (most do just before HD) and if they haven't yet they will this year. By sophomore year movement is pretty much over.

A few have left from NEFC to Stars in the 07 group, the 06 group (mostly sophomores) nobody left either direction. Depends on the playing time, parents, driving distance, coaching, etc….

Those NEFC kids were already playing for FC Stars last spring. The fall teams and late spring teams were completely different.

Start of the season is rapidly approaching. Looks like there are several strong 2007 teams. Top four teams to watch are probably:

NEFC Central Elite Red
SSS U11 AP
Spirit of Liverpool Elite
GPS Boston Elite Red

Will FC Boston, FC Stars, Aztec or Valeo have teams who can keep pace with the top four?

First action for these teams will likely be at FC Stars Labor Day tournament with the NEP season starting the week thereafter.
