What a JOKE. Maybe the NEFC coach was too arrogant a “few years back” to consider any new players. Might be his worst mistake.....especially considering he’s in a weak league and gonna be looking for a new job next year. Sorry truth hurts pal. This thread is hilarious. People are arguing about the newcomers when his starting lineup isn’t even that great. Let’s just put it this way, some of those starting for Stars blue didn’t make the top NEFC team a few years back. Parents got pissed and took them to Stars. Stars is where NEFC castoffs go to play.

So true about starters on both teams a combo team would be incredible. However, the main and only real difference I see between both 07 teams is that in 2 years ECNL will still be going very strong while the GAL/DPL might-probably-definitely- very well fold.

Someone posted this a while back and I agreed. If you took the top 9-10 players off NEFC and every one of them went to the ECNL they’d bump the bottom 3 kids on each of the three MA ECNL rosters. The last 7-8 kids on NEFC would be interchangeable, at best, with most top 2/3 of the current roster ECNL players, so those kids won’t get spots.

Every 2007 team in MA could use a boost for its bottom 2-3 players. That’s the nature of the beast playing in ECNL. It it’s not like NEFC will go out of business if GA folds, so maybe 1/3 of that roster (6 kids) would cone looking for ECNL spots and geography will be a big deciding factor.
