they'll play with the 07s for the fall and when the coaches see the 07 ct players are not the best 07s in that age group their gonna look like fools when they have to move them up to the 06 blue team for the winter and spring.

Or, they get kept at the 2007 age permanently.

these ct ow 07 players committed to the 06 blue team... their the future of womens soccer... don't see the parents letting that happening especially with the drive they will be making.

Don’t know these girls and have never seen them play, but if the FC Stars coaches gave them spots on a very strong 2006 blue team, they must be pretty talented.

The Stars blue 2006 team is a top 3 team in the state along with Scorpions & Stars White. That not good enough for you?

There is really zero reason for most of these players to be playing up at this point. Other than situations where families have 2 kids 1 year apart and it makes sense for logistical reasons if the kids are talented enough, playing up often has more to do with how aggressive the parents are about wanting their little superstar to stand out than anything else. Many have made the point on this site and it's true, the top 3-5 players on almost any ECNL team could play up.

You play a kid up when they are top 3 on the older team, and their team just isn’t a competitive level for them. There are kids like that and they need to play up, especially in younger ages before puberty.

Kids who are physically dominant at U11/12 because they grew faster than peers should play up to kids their own size to prevent a big drop off after others catch up.

Just being able to function on the team above shouldn’t be the threshold.

U13+ in the ECNL players should be playing with their own age group.

I second that notion, (disclaimer not an NEFC parent), but that team is much deeper than any other in the state. You can be competitive with them but awful tough to beat as they have a lot of players/ways to beat you. It may take them some time to figure exactly which way or player that will work best in a game, and maybe the lose a game or 2, but usually they will come out on top. Question really is if GAL doesn't take off, can they keep it together.

NEFC 2006 & 2007 teams are both strong. GAL will be equivalent to NEP premiership. They are going to slaughter everyone they play in GAL.

The 5 teams typically mentioned on here are all solid.
