The fact that there is not enough local talent to create an academy that is competitive is hardly their fault.[/QUOTE]

There is plenty of local talent, most of it just refuses to play for Scales. Just check out a session at the Pro Project.

Pro Project may be the most overhyped program east of the Mississippi.

Pro project is full of Revs kids so your comment makes no sense.

The Revs Academy may suck or not. Nonetheless, it is thoroughly amusing to listen to you bumholios talking smack about Scales and his staff when most of you have literally zero experience or knowledge and have cv's that would be better used as toilet paper. Seriously!

Scales sucks, sniff sniff, sob sob, boohoo... get over yourselves already!

I was looking forward to a good Revs season under Bruce Arena but I did not think they looked good today. And needless to say there was zero impact from any Academy product.

Does this sound familiar? Interview with Scales in 2004 blaming his players and constantly re-building:

Q: You decided to “rebuild” the team, in a sense, after the 2004 season, your seventh with the program. Why?
A: A few different factors made that a difficult season. For the most part, we were solid defensively, but we struggled to score goals. Consequently, we couldn’t get the results that we needed - especially when we played well in tight games - to give ourselves a boost. The chemistry of the team suffered and some of the decisions that were made, both on and off the field, by our young players were not what we expect out of a Cornell soccer player. I knew that after the season I was going to need to make some significant changes to our player pool and how we conduct business, from top to bottom

Maybe the Cornell players were involved with drugs like his Revs players were.

Was this before or after the winless season?

Most clueless dads would do better than 0-11-1. Pick a couple of the best players to choose the lineup and three or four subs per match. Then stf up, sit back and watch.

Even a chimp with a dart board would do better than these Revs morons.

It’s because there is no talent in New England

There's some out there but the Revs can't develop it and no one wants to play there.
