Should we assume this is his last year there? Looking at ISL or another DA or Club?

No, free DA and lots of private training is working great.

Prison is free and you have tons of time to work out in the yard. If free is your metric then I guess things are great. Any other KPI would point in the opposite direction.

I know a lot of people are pissed because their kids was not good enough to make Revs.
So far my son's experience has been really good.
He has done ODP, played at a major club in Mass and so far the Revs training and feedback has been the best. They have him on a training and diet plan. The feedback is detail and they have pointed out his weakness and strengths.

ODP was a good experience and he got some feedback but it wasn't detail as what he is getting at the Revs. His club never gave him feedback and if he didn't play for his town team up a year from the time his was 7 and futsal with some inner city teams he would not have made the Revs. I am certain of that.

He really likes he team and at first he was having difficulty with playing time and not being one of the best on the team but he wouldn't have it any other way. He trains hard, still plays on other teams and does RDS once in a while since we don't have to pay club fees.

What a hot mess this post is.

He is not allowed to play on other teams. That is US Soccer’s main rule.

My kid straight up told me he'd never play for the Revs. He knows several players there. He isn't impressed.

The usual Revs response - your kid wasn't good enough. They refuse to accept that many willingly turn down offers or walk away after a year or two in the sh*t show. Take the blinders off.

a child could leave the REVs for some many reasons, family moved, long commute got old, school, done with soccer, gets cut. For the life of me, cant see any difference with any other club. I get it, some families are angry their son didn't get an REVs offer and he really wanted to play for them. The REVS selected what turned out to be a "bust". But once again, what club, College or pro team hasn't had a "bust". Ryan Leaf, Brian Bosworth, c
                        Acie Earl, come to mind.

No anger bro. My kid happily passed on an offer for ISL. Best decision ever, and it was all his not mine. The only anger is why can't a supposed professional organization be run like one, first team included. My kid would have liked to play for an MLS club but he had enough friends there/had been there to know in the long run it wasn't the best place for him.

He isn't impressed ? Wow so mature and knowledgeable

We have a friend who also keeps saying my kid will not play for the Revs. I asked the Mom. Why did you accept the original invite to go tryout?

Her response was I wanted to see how he compares with the other players his age.
She found out the answer when the Revs didn't select her kid.

That analogy doesn’t work. The Revs is free, which gives us the freedom to spend family budget soccer $ on an excellent private trainer. It’s a win-win.

Hopefully you're a noobie. If not, then it's probably too late for you.

Stop swallowing what they're sliding into your mouth.

I personally know 5 players that turned down the Revs.

The players the Revs choose generally don't work out well. There are years of accumulated data on this. There are 1200+ pages on this thread about it. The only thing they are worse at than scouting is developing players.

Enjoy suiting up in your Revs gear for your kid's matches.

Eventually you'll realize what a mistake you've made but I'm sure you're not man enough to come back on here and admit it.

                                Good luck.
