When you expand your scope to include residential you can’t afford to have those players sit on the bench. It would ruin the chance to attract any future players. If you move you play. Watch what happens this season. They’ve played the wrong players for odd reasons before. The Revs have made the decision they need to look elsewhere for starters.

The coaches need to realize they already have the talent ready and willing to compete for them.

The 17s didn’t start out terrible. They were a talented group of U14s with a crappy, unlicensed, unmotivated coach. A full year of zero development, barely 3 sessions a week. Then the crappy coach got moved to the ULittles last year and was fired by January. 17s Are the sad story but perfect example of what happens at the Revs.

Absolutely. There's plenty of talent in the area - hell some CT kids even make the trek to Foxboro. It's what they do with the talent they have that's the issue. Until that improves they will continue to struggle to attract talent. Improve the coaching, improve the performance, get rid of the attitude and they easily can turn it around. As the only MLS club for a few hundred miles there's absolutely no reason they shouldn't be dominating - other than their own sheer incompetence and lack of caring.

I can’t think of anybody. Unless it is parents of the kids that were hoping to make it but didn’t.

Ah, to figure out who they want to take and develop into MLS talent.

Because they are lazy and have to poach developed players. Look no further than their Princeton “commit” last year. Snake oil salesmen.

No players complain about getting poached. Sorry they didn’t pick your kid.

Yeah they do - when they realize they were sold a bill of goods. Then they go ISL or elsewhere.

The "your kid isn't good enough" is the most tired trope on Talking Soccer

Many players complain in year 2. It's too bad an MLS club can't develop its own players.
