I never said the poster didn’t agree. That was merely a post to preempt know nothing DA parents from replying to the topic about high school players on low level D1. The top D1 teams in the nation roster non-DA players. I want to make sure that resonates with parents. If your son is truly talented, but more importantly, has the inner drive to excel, he’ll rise to the top and be in the mix. The Revs aren’t the answer. The Revs are an unreliable short cut for parents with self image disorders.

Yet DA clubs, especially pay to play ones, sell the "you have to so DA to play in college" pitch. You don't. Will it impact the level? Many times yes but even then there are countless exceptions to the rule. Just look at the commitment list done every year. Anyone considering DA should look at those as well as bios on college rosters. Of course you should be doing DA because of the training and competitive level etc but in reality many do it to improve their college prospects.

RDS is not. It's a revenue source to help fund the DA teams. Most MLS clubs run them plus camps. Occasionally a talented player is found there, but parents should never expect anything out of it beyond just extra touches and ok extra training.

Yes Academy teams are free but they will cost you your soul. And suck the development right out of your kid.

Guarantee no other teams have eliminated a large class of kids like that. The Revs chose poorly. It's pretty simple
