Yes this has been repeated every year. A few chime in with how their kid "loves" the Revs. then reality sinks in. Sure many will stay if they don't get cut, but everyone knows this organization could be so much more. That's the frustrating part. And it's hard not to feel bad for the kids who they treat like dirt. It's almost a blessing they don't have the youngest age group.

They'll never get clipped because they manage to keep costs as low as possible.

My kid loves it at the Revs. He doesn’t always start, but the playing time for all the players matches up pretty well to their ability. The coaches seem a very good judge of talent in my opinion.

If he plays less than 50% of the total minutes he'll need to find another place to play next year.

If he gets cut so be it. He’ll probably try out for the Bolts in that case. They are a good club.

Yes, Revs and Bolts are both good options. Not sure why this thread is so full of drama.

It doesn't matter whether or not they are good judges of talent. Bottom line, If they don't LIKE your kid...they will sabotage him!!! If they do like your kid, they will advance him unfairly!! THAT is the problem. Talent aside.

Every coach in every club has a blind spot like that. My kid has been in both sides of it. Generally the Revs are way less biased because they don’t take into account parent politics, like parent coaches or team managers.

Not true. The Revs are more biased because people are too stupid to question them. Parents are so blinded by the fact that their kids are affiliated with an MLS team that the parents just accept what the coaches say and ask no questions until it is too late.

One of the few valid things that the Revs do is block parental maneuvering. They see through it, sorry.

I didn't say they didn't see through parental maneuvering. I said parents don't see through their maneuvering.

I guess some parents like to be involved. I am happy to leave it to my kid to talk to the coach. It seems to work just fine that way.

Until it doesn't work just fine.
