My 2010 is really advanced for his age. Will they make an exception for me?

Absolutely! My 12 year old was tripping over 7 year olds at RDS. Great investment that was!

Great. The Bolts 14's play the Revs this weekend. Get ready for the apologists next Saturday night.

Haha! Hope they continue to "go pro" in Europe. Poor kids.

Isn't the current narrative from the collective soccer minds that youths should go overseas for training?
So how else would one approach such an endeavor?

For now training abroad is a better development path for the very few who can play at that level. There's also some less than optimal European clubs also. Maybe the kids have what it takes, maybe they don't, but they're trying it. One or two posters are obsessed with trashing the decisions of others. I suspect those doing the trashing deep down know they'd never have the balls to do it themselves.

That's a great point (duh). Let's wait for his instructions on how to do it.

The difference is that the true prodigies are scouted and actively recruited to Europe by professional, repsected clubs. Manufacturing an opportunity is counterproductive.

If they haven't identified your 2010 son already I'm sorry to say that his window of opportunity is already closed. It's time to think baseball or basketball.

Jail time is a bit harsh. I vote GPS ankle bracelets, parents can't go near soccer fields.

I don't know. True prodigies are scouted by EU agents that go to DA games? If you say so. Or maybe they liked your son's prodigy video on YouTube?

Making a European academy team is pretty cool. I'm not sure if they were 'scouted' or not but I do know that EU coaches know darn well that players younger than U18's can't randomly go abroad without the proper citizenship. I would love to know how they manufactured an opportunity. Sounds like an opening.

Everyone was proud when they received their Revs invite. I can imagine how these boys felt getting a EU invite. Pretty cool I imagine. Anyone who bashes this accomplishment is just jealous.

No, child neglect warrants jail time. Sorry.
