Bryan Scales should be relieved of his duties based on these three blunders alone.He missed 3 homegrown opportunities for the Kraft Sports Group and the first team. Jack Harrison playing High school soccer for Berkshire. It is well known he played for Manhattan Soccer Club(later became an affiliate of NYCFC) but Scales could have reached out to him as a 16 year old. Zeiko Lewis (NYRB) also played at Berkshire and last but not least, Atlanta United's and Arlington High's Miles Robinson. Any MLS academy Youth director would be fired if just one player was missed.

Revs are over by U15. Main academies are residential or provide on site daily training (5 days/week). No one in their right mind would join Revs to become a pro.

World Class hasn't won a game and the Revs took the only decent players NEFC had so you can't really judge their performance just yet.

The scouting at the Revs is non existent. Nobody knows who Bryan Scales is. He's an arrogant a-hole who is holed up in his house in Grafton after yelling at his players 3 times a week.

What does he have to be arrogant about? I have only met him once on the Revs sidelines, but he seemed very unimpressive. My kid doesn't think he is relevant within the club.

He is the guy you hire when MLS is making you have an academy and you don't give a fig about anything other than spending as little money as possible. Just understand that and let this thread die.

Berkshire had an affiliation with Manhattan Soccer club. A Coach would drive them to games

That's what they claimed in a survey. They were probably confident that would look like a huge amount of money until it showed they spent the least. Next closest was $1.5 M and went to as high as $4M. Lmao

Only 1/3 or maybe 1/2 MLS academies responded to the survey, and the reporter didn't articulate which costs to count - it seemed like only ongoing operating expenses, and not the costs of facilities and residential academies (which would be much more than even $4m/year).

Still, the takeaway: the Revs/Krafts aren't putting a lot of resources into the Revs and the academy, and to be fair, there likely isn't a whole lot of financial reason for them to do so. That doesn't make them evil but for a fan of soccer, it's a bummer we don't have an enthusiastic supporter like Arthur Blank of the Falcons/Atlanta United.

Of course, we also don't have 28-3 :).
