Lol yes challenges are a good thing as a GK. HS soccer is also really good training :).

He saw shots instead of being protected all the time. That lead to 6 goals.

Good for 'em! Good practice. Now about all those PK's the Revs got....offense could use a little work too. Very few legitimate goals.

Which side did those shots come from?

Many times a keeper can try to be involved a little too much and calls to have the ball played back to him. Especially if he plays for a strong team because he doesn't see enough action.

Again, those shots getting off have little to do with the GK. Overall for GK training it is good when your line isn't military strength. But obviously for the team it's risky. When my GK first started he played an A and B team. In B team games he got shelled almost all the time. A team he saw some action but nearly the same amount.

Stop making excuses. A very good GK should bail out a team once or twice a game. The "not the GK's fault" mantra is for losers.

Depends on how many shots were actually taken. I there's 20+ shots on goal something is going to make it in. If almost every shot results in a gaol then you've got an issue.

So many unknowns make this whole GK witchunt an exercise in futility.

Agree. I've also seen the Revs GK, when he was at FSA, and it was very clear even then that he was a special talent. I look forward to seeing where he goes!

Useless info because they only report on games they watch.
