And Bunker Hill CC. She still thinks it's "Ivy League".

You’re right. I’m envious of the THREE Revs recruits this year.

You sound like a U15 parent. You’ll learn. If you’re still around at U19 come back and let us know how all those secret meetings planned out.

Just because colleges are going nuts to sign my kid doesn’t necessarily mean yours is a failure. But he might be.

No. You aren’t very good at this.

There are no longer ways around these rules. A college coach can now tell your club coach they are interested in you but that’s about it. Prior to June 15th after your sophomore year college coaches can no longer make meaningful “contact” with a recruit, their parents or their coach. They can’t talk to you if you happen to call the office and catch them at their desk. Those days are over, even for girls. Boys soccer isn’t really a revenue generator at even the top schools. Soccer isn’t a headcount sport, therefore it’s not vital to the schools bottom line. No college coach is going to risk NCAA sanctions, and his job, by speaking to a freshman or sophomore boy that hasn’t taken the ACT/SAT and can’t yet demonstrate they’ll be able to gain admission, handle the rigors of college AND be a meaningful contributor on the soccer field.

Pesky facts don't matter to some posters. That said, the newer more restrictive rules only went into place last month. Prior to that plenty used the club coach middleman, but less so with boys than girls. Even top male players are on a slower timeline than girls. Very few are even getting looks as freshmen let alone discussions.

And some lucky Revs 03/04 parent got a tour of a D1 coach’s office where they had her kids name in bright dry erase marker at the top of a recruiting board. Those are some pesky facts.

and 10 minutes later as the next recruit comes through, his/her name is suddenly at the top

There isn’t a D1 boy’s coach dumb enough to let a freshman or sophomore player anywhere near his office. As for parents, they don’t want you there ever.

Another player just unexpectedly let the coaches know he’s headed to an ISL school. It’s easy to walk away when there’s no financial commitment to the Revs.
