Some quality, in general not much. As an MLS club the Revs should be doing much better against midlevel non MLS teams

Goalkeeper coaches are former Explosion (Maple) and also assistant high school coaches.
One Scottish dude has about the same bio as any GPS staff coach and hard to vet.
The U16 coach has a mediocre playing career at URI and played for a local PDL team.

Now....these are the men affiliated with a professional soccer youth academy system!!

Does that kind of clarify why your son's have had a confusing and frustrating experience at the Revs? You would think a serious professional soccer team would put together UEFA licensed ,former Serie A, EPL or La Liga players with credible soccer backgrounds.
      Just beyond pathetic.
My God, what utter mediocrity! Who are these tools?

Yes that's the U18 team. The one good team they have. The rest aren't that great, which makes them mediocre club. Revs should blow them away.

NEFC has coaches with better credentials and resumes. MLS academy coaches? Are you kidding me?

Heard Austin Aviza transferred out from Syracuse. Couldn't handle the rigors of being a student athlete. Revs don't care nor do they prepare them for anything in life.

Yes he transferred to UCONN which arguably has higher academics than Syracuse

Just looked at an article of players to watch AG, not a single Revs or NE player (NYCFC) with 1 player

Mike Burns and Bryan Scales. Good Lord, what a tandem. I saw Burns' son in the starting eleven in Dallas. He should give it up with his son. He's terrible, same as Scales' kid.

Not really, but I guess UCONN is willing to give him a second chance. The point is that the Revs academy are the grim reapers of preparing players for life after soccer. It's secondary. Despite what you read on their nifty website. None of it is true.

You can blame the ousted German Klinsmann for all of this. He famously instituted the 10 month academy season and ban from high school Fall soccer for 8 weeks. The Euro model has been an epic fail here in the United States.

                        UCONN > Cuse

Here's the kicker ... a ton of young keepers at UCONN. I doubt he sees the field

                          More are planning to leave.
Sadly, I don't think the Revs really care who leaves. As long as they have bodies to replace those vacancies, which they always will, they'll continue with the status quo. The quality of the program, including the players within, is no matter to them, since they aren't investing anything into it anyway. Best we can hope for is that the program falls to the bottom of the standings in every age group. Possibly then they'll purge directors and coaches and start anew, although this would actually require Kraft caring enough about the academy to bother upsetting the apple cart, so is probably just a pipe dream.

I couldn't disagree more. My kid loves it at the Revs and is developing more than at his previous club.

I have heard it all. How f**king dumb can an organization be to let a kid like that go? That club is one bizarre surprise after another. I remember Rennicks from the Vikings and knew then there was something special about him. Nicest Kid. Disturbing behavior to punish a youngster for training abroad.
