After giving up 5 games in their first game WUP played 9 players back with 1 striker. Not easy for any team to break a team down playing not to give up a goal. Bottom line these teams need to play each other every weekend to develop these players. Winning games in their league play is meaningless.

I think it's OK for one 11 v 11 weekly game, not 4 games in a row. I don't know if this is case here but it would be a foolish practice. Very foolish.

It was a complete ego trip which elevated NEFC and WUP to their rightly status and backfired on Valeo who instigated the whole deal with their outrageously exaggerated claims of elevated mediocrity. Definitely showed NEP superiority and the absurdity of Maple.

Work toward combined matches to keep yourselves in reality next season so you don't go off the deep end again.

They wanted to win the game after an early goal. Valeo dominated possession but WUP just held them off defensively. Pair that with Valeo's weak offense this weekend and a win was what they got.

No not true. But all players have been playing better defense and yes when the other team has the ball they all get back behind the ball to defend. Smart defending not bad for development. The have some of the most creative players around....bad for development...hahaha!

Sometimes the *parents* have to be shown that there is a reason playing time is not equal on top teams. See what happens when your son plays at this level? The team loses. Insistence on being on top team can be detrimental to a kid's development. Have him play on lower team until he is ready. Parent egos.

Why do you keep saying they put this together? This was WUP's gig.

Also Mr. GPS coach, all teams played well. Tying or losing 0-1 to good teams is not laying an egg.
