So let me get this straight... Everyone is simply going to show up with their child and play.
No club coaches, dad coaches, mom coaches? Its a great idea but you need a field which cost $$$

So everyone that shows up will play nice on the pitch when mom and dad with be sizing up the competition. This is a great idea but we all know that no one is willing to have their kid enjoy a pick up game with kids that could be better than them......nope in the world of TS

Not the competition- potential future teammates, colleagues, and likeminded soccer fans.

Agreed. Not to mention out themselves as one of the nut jobs that respond on TS. I already think I know of couple of the people that volunteered their kids. I would hate to spend time with these people on the sidelines hearing endless about their kid. I already here it at the club practice.

You can stay home then. Also sounds like you could use a change of clubs.

If you guys can't organize a pickup game for boys from your own clubs, why do you think this will work with TS strangers?

Let's get back to u11. After all the bluster from u10 WU dad last year, are they just one of 6 or so good teams after NEFC? Sure looks like it. What happened?

Who nominated NEFC other than scores. Have people seen them play?

Yes, against a very good Porto team. WU is ok but not on the same level as Seacoast, NU, Valeo. Among many in the third tier with Strikers, Aztec, Liverpool, etc. Previous poster asked the right question: what happened?

The answer is evident Nefc has the biggest presence on TS. Posters point to the scores until they lose then point to the reasons they are still the best. It is what it is. Last week someone told their kid was the best u11 in the state(why bother arguing). Likewise due to volume of posts Nefc always has the best teams. But according to that guy they don't have the best player.

We would have to leave the sport to get away from the crazies of soccer. Only a few sports have this type of parental d-baggage. It is in U-little. It is in town soccer. It is travel soccer. It is club soccer.

"My so-so". That is all you hear. NOTE: If you use the word "My" before your child's name you are probably making a statement that the other person could care less about.

Club soccer adds an additional layer of pretentious that is the frosty on the top.

Thankfully this works its way out of the sport by the time the kids are in HS. Notice the difference in the HS threads and the U11 threads. Intelligent and civil in one -- d-baggers in the other.

Oh well back to the scrimmage plan. So where is this going to ge?

I suggest you plan it and announce the location and " they will come"

Most of these kids won't be together when the are older. Let them have fun. Their team right now will not be the team they are with in the future. It's funny to listen to U10 and U11 parents talk, They actually think this is their team for life. Not going to happen. Not all kids that are great at a younger age are great when they are older.
