In case it's not just this one very confused person, some facts. GA is much better than ECRL. In particular, either of the NEFC GA teams will be way ahead of RL.
- NEFC and STA in GA could be competitive in ECNL
- SDA, Seacoast and Oakwood in GA are interchangeable with FSA, East Meadow and Stars White at the bottom of ECNL. The 8 ECNL teams have a much wider spread of quality than the generic ECNL hype posts want you to believe.
- The rest of the current GA clubs (in NY and NJ) are on a par with Stars Blue RL and generally better than the rest of the ECRL teams.
- The two new GA clubs, Bayside and RI Surf, are overall better right now than SUSA, FSA and East Meadow at the bottom of ECRL. Next year they should improve if they draw some talent. GA and ECRL may both have some games that aren't really worth playing.
Of course, coaches and teammates may be a factor, as well as style of play, commute, time commitment, etc. In other words, the blanket comparisons here across the alphabets can't, of course, be useful.
