My kid is almost done with this and committed to a good D1 school (not P4) that wont cost us a ton. So no real horse. I would really strongly advise anyone with a kid playing and looking at college to see if they're good enough to play for Stars Blue at 50%+. I'd say the same if i was in NY and my kid had WC as an option or NJ with PDA close enough. If so, you go. These are the top places to play in their areas. If not, you have to make some decisions.
GA for 07s and older has been a decent option but for kids younger, i think its going to get tough. ECNL is finally making the consolidation moves it should have (from a business pov) back in 2021. I still think Stars having two teams is a bit much but NEFC having two in GA is beyond nuts.

This is actually a pretty well crafted troll. It may not be obvious to all what rubbish it is.Originally posted by Guest View PostMy kid is almost done with this and committed to a good D1 school (not P4) that wont cost us a ton. So no real horse.

In other words, that couldn’t be more obvious.

NEFC has two very different geographies, both far more accessible and large enough to support a strong team. Each team stands in its own. A completely different dynamic.

Wow, that’s deep wisdom, hard earned knowledge from years of experience.
In other words, that couldn’t be more obvious.
This is where 99%+ of the players are and where it gets interesting. Guess your decade in club soccer leaves you with …. Nothing useful to add to the discussion.
Here’s where you make it obvious. Stars has 2 teams in a location that’s an extreme commute for most players. And an explicit policy that to make one team the best, they will make the other team a permanent cellar dweller.

Why does white and blue practice in same location? They could field two strong teams if they were spread out. Instead that have a great team and a meh team. White only exists to play the Blue bills. Don't be a sucker. Don't accept any white offer.

NEFC Red will be the top team but that navy sales pitch is crap. NEFC will not accept diluting Red and missing nationals. If it does a lot of loyal families will leave.

We want the best talent across NEFC to be at Red. We don’t want them staying in the north shore. That is the point.

DPL level players moving up to GA teams. Ri Surf and Bayside teams are weak. ECNL and ECRL will just get stronger over time as GA falls apart

The thread is called Comparing GA, ECNL, ECRL
EASY based on leagues not teams
#1: ECNL
#2: GA
#3: ECRL 1
#4: DPL
#5: ECRL2
are there better players on the ECRL teams than the GA teams yes.
But if we are comparing leagues this is it.
