This person might actually make a women’s sport broadly popular. No coincidence she’s white, straight, religious, and from the heartland. Taking notes, women’s soccer?

if a gay black swimmer from the inner city beat all Micheal Phelps records the media coverage would be non stop. Same for a white sprinter or a black hockey player that scores more goals than Gretzky….
people are quick to say people and media are racist for being interested in Clark but those same people and media would be interested in the other scenarios also

However, media coverage does not equal what the general populace is interested in.
Clark is just more relatable to more people in the country, like it or not.

i think people (black and white) naturally root for people that look different than what you expect people to look like. So yes people root for Clark because she’s white but people rooted for woods because he is black.

Moving from the amazingly likable to the unlikable, when is the WNT Soccer going to part ways with Korbin Albert? Speaking ill of Megan Rapinoe is akin to a Republican speaking ill of the Orange guy. Career ending move.

Nope, just overrated. Kamilla Cardoza and Angel Reese both outplayed her in the two championships. Nothing wrong with either of them that a bucket of white out couldn’t fix.
