pathway even though it’s crumbling has clouded your objectivity and your advice here to parents is poor saying GA is going to be great RA Ra. It’s not. Be honest.

Advice to parents if your kid is good enough to make an ECRL team there’s many to choose from Scorpions (2) Stars (3) Select (1) NES (1) tryout for one of those. Your kid may get pulled up to a national team or at the least attend regional showcases. Do not head towards weak GA clubs as they are going to be the Walmart League . A league for everyone but no quality. ECNL will be more quality. College coaches will likely fill there teams with ECNL and probably ECRL players as those ECRL teams coming up will have more and more talent.
What I don’t understand - if ECNL is the strongest league, top to bottom and everyone knows it, why do DOC’s, coaches and parents constantly flood this board to talk about how it’s definitely the best!!
It almost seems like a brainwashed cult where a lot of them want out, but can’t justify leaving. Probably because they’ve made such a big deal of their kid being on an ECNL team, even though it’s not the right fit for their kid and probably really hampering them mentally and physically. But you get to league drop acronyms in conversations….and they all do.
I understand why the ECRL parents are on here trying to sell us on that league all the time. We all get that. You’re all stuck. Not good enough for the national team, but the club keeps dangling it out there for your daughter…so close…maybe next year.
And now we have to deal with the ECRL Lite parents who have convinced themselves, thanks to their DOC and coaches, that the National League is just one good season away. It is!! Definitely!
Congratulations to all of you with daughters on National teams who get plenty of minutes, but I know you want read this. You are not here wasting your time. You are not worried about this. This board is flooded with the parents whose darling rides the bench on the national team and teeter on the ECRL bubble. Some day, you’ll look back and laugh at it all. Some day….not today. Today you will get pissed and call me a name and insult my daughter’s league. Amen brother. Amen!!

I think we will hear less from ECNL parents about the league being better because now it is so obvious. Before you had SSS and NEFc parents still thinking GA was the same. There is one clear top league for the best players. There is still always a need for other leagues because not everyone needs or wants to play ECNL.

But they will manage the event process and tournament logistics to make the events more restrictive, both by who is invited and field locations. There will continue to be events held for the real ECNL and real ECRL teams, and college coaches will focus on those. The other teams will be on fields half an hour away, playing each other in front of the third and fourth tier coaches.

A lot of these players at top clubs don’t want girls coming to practices to take their spots. They are not very welcoming, and can be downright mean sometimes. Some girls just don’t want to deal with that crap , believe it or not.
