They are suddenly accepted because they have proven they are good enough. Previously they were rejected because they weren’t good enough. It’s called evolution. Nothing stays the same.

What made ECNL all of a sudden bring them in? This parent now thinks there kid is better because there club has been admitted. You remind me of all those parents whose daughter was one of the top players on their GA teams and then move to a top rated ECNL team. It took awhile for most of these GA players to get adjusted to the speed of play. Some did okay and some never played at the higher level. They went from scoring 1-2 goals a match to going weeks without scoring a single goal. Some adjusted and some just quit playing soccer. These GA players realized they just weren’t as good as they or their parents thought. Anyone who thinks college coaches do not know the difference between the top tier ECNL teams and then the rest are in denial.

GA added 15 subpar teams is more likely to dilute the product

If GA is really ridiculous and the teams are worse than this year's worse ECNL teams, then by definition they are diminishing ECRL, if not, you are saying there are teams in GA better than all teams in ECRL and a bunch of teams in ECRL, so doesnt that mean ECRL has ridiculous teams!?!?!?

assuming those 5 GA teams they are adding will put their 2nd teams in ECNLR. I have no idea if those second teams are any good.
I think you are tying yourself up in knots for no reason. GA is B league now. It is really hard to debate anything different

And yes, New England ECNL teams ride the coattails of the better TX, CA, etc clubs. That's why it's silly to talk about "ECNL" rather than Stars or Scorpions or Select.
To their credit, adding Select will boost the competition in New England and help with player development.
