There's occasional dangerous play in every sport. Soccer isn't an outlier although each sport has its own boundaries. One example of a particularly bad soccer incident is hardly representative.

The problem I see is that nobody is policing the refs. Because of this they tend to let things go further than it should.
It's way easier to say nothing than to interject yourself. Why go put of your way to make calls when there's no repercussions for not making calls

There aren't enough refs let alone enough refs to check the refs. Be a part of the solution and become one, or run trainings and mentoring if you're already certified

Good lord....90% of the fouls parents complain about aren't fouls at all. If you wanted to call the way the parents wanted it called, the game would disintegrate (but your li'l angel would be safe and secure).

But, as a solution, grab a whistle and get out there and help.

No I'd rather see a couple of lawsuits hit refs that don't make calls + allow dangerous play.

Once this happens all the refs will call anything + everything.

And the game as we know it falls apart. The meatheads who call those who play the game pussles will have finally won.

No thanks, I'll take the game as it was intended to be played. Sounds like tennis is a better option for you.

Be careful what you wish for.

Once this happens most refs will retire.

The remaining refs will need to charge a small fortune to pay for the 'malpractice' insurance, and the insurance adjusters will insist that they call every tiny bump as a foul.

Have you ever noticed that the least athletic people want to damage sports the most?

                      That's fine...

The alternative is for refs to continue allowing dangerous play where kids can and do get hurt.

Paying ridiculous money for talented players to learn skills only to have them get bulldozed by an oaf makes no sense.

Physicality is and always will be a part of this sport. Lools like pickleball is a better option for your famiily. I suggest you pick up a racket and some panties.

In the pros every tiny altercation goes to VAR + is put through endless instant replay. They do this because fouls are against the rules.

I don't know what's happened to the youth girls game where refs let crazy physicality happen without handing out yellows or reds but it needs to stop.

Also to mister macho who thinks players should run a gauntlet to kick a ball I suggest you stop gargling you buddies nuts.

Can we just put this thread to bed. Both sides of this argument have become too stupid to continue debating.

Bro you wear a skirt and heels when you come home. Maybe swimming is your thing, I'm sure you have a bikini you could wear.
