You guys are crazy. Of course you will be successful coming from D1,2,,3 colleges! A kid can graduate from Bridgewater, or Assumption doesn’t matter. We all generally end up in the same place working flour butts off while the rich get richer. Honestly the trades make a lot of sense for many boys. Too bad trade schools don’t offer soccer scholarships.

Bentley is a good business school.

There are many paths to take and in that you are correct.

But if you think they all lead to the same place in terms of success, you're deluding yourself

          How do you define success?
          income?
          family?
          power?
          freedom?
          happiness?
          health?

Why don't you review your list and then think about why you're paying to send your kid to college. I'm sure your list will shrink really fast, and you'll have an (obvious) answer to success.

There really isn’t any reason to be a flaccid and undersized phallic figure, okay pal? This kind of a situation is both maddening and incredibly painful, and while the coach's behaviors are not blatantly abusive, the effects on your daughter can be devastating. My suggestion is that you and your husband continue to nurture your daughter's dreams of playing college ball. One way of doing this is to get her connected with another coach or a travel team who can support her, reinforce her skills and confidence and encourage her to keep on keeping on. Very many high school coaches are not very well trained as coaches and most do not know how to really work with and communicate with adolescents. Your daughter needs to know that just because this coach is not playing her as much, that it doesn't mean she doesn't have the talent to play at the next level. A friend's son is a very talented basketball player who just finished up his all important junior year in high school. His varsity coach played him very little all season. However, when one of the top ranked teams in the country looked at him, their coach pronounced him as one of the best D-1 prospects they had seen in a long time! High school coaches are NOT the final word on a child's talent or potential! Find a private coach who can help nurture your daughter's talent and dream and help her stop measuring her self-worth by someone who clearly has his own agenda going on here!

My kid wants to go to college probably because all her friends are doing it. It’s become the normalized next step. She wants to play college soccer because she loves the sport and wants to play at the highest level she can compete at while being part of the school. I’m not able to pay to send my kid to college like many families so we will take on loans and so will she. Why are we willing to take on loans? To give her opportunities in life and to help her have a happy life no matter which career path she chooses. We aren’t looking for the most academic. We are looking for an affordable package at a 4 year institution in a major of her choosing while playing soccer. Our answer to success is ultimately happiness.
